Ordered this after a friend had pulled out a very old shuffler of her grandmother's. I remembered these from my childhood and thought my grandchildren would love to have something to shuffle cards with as they have a difficult time doing it by hand.
Sure enough, we have loved enjoying it together. We are building memories that can never be replaced. It is a super value for the cost and seems durable enough for our recreational use. I would recommend this product to "fun loving grandparent's."

IMPORTANT UPDATE: After going through a few of these from different sellers, DO NOT BUY the ones that take AA batteries. There is just not enough oomph to keep the thing running right. I don't know what it is exactly, but the AA ones will eventually start feeding unevenly. Eventually, we had to stack 1 1/2 decks on one side and 1/2 on the other.HOWEVER, do buy the one that uses C batteries. Look around Amazon until you find it. These have lots of oomph and have been working great from much longer than the AA ones. Here's my original review: I rated this a 4 because it is really a great convenience when you play multi-deck card games. Everyone in our card group loves it. Another benefit is it prolongs the life of the cards (this machine can't tear up cards). Consider that when you buy a game like Five Crowns where you can't just buy a new deck of cards very easily or cheaply. But the reason it lost a point in my rating is this: these things will not work for the max. number of decks listed. They are the right size for the decks, but the compartment that catches the cards fills up and when it gets too high, the cards start to jam up. The solution is to buy the 4-deck shuffler if you need a 2-deck shuffler, and a 6-deck if you need a 4. With the extra room in the catch-compartment, it works like a charm. Be aware it is noisy though. Anyway, just buy the next larger size and you'll love it!

The card shuffler does what it is intended to do. I should last about two years if the two prior shufflers are an indication of longevity

My little daughter have problems shuffling the cards, with the Shuffler all the problems are gone, is easy to use (just press with one finger) we love it. Works 95% of the time, ocasionaly 2 cards stuck, but it is not a big problem.

This card shuffler does a reasonable job but does tend to jam occasionally especially if you don't run it at full speed. It is loud which causes one of our border collies to start howling, though he does the same thing when coffee beans are ground. Lately it seems that the shuffler is not sorting cards evenly from the two piles. None of the shufflers that I researched had great reviews unless you're a pro and can afford the bucks.

The card shuffler isn't as helpful as I thought it would be...you still have to shuffle the cards about 10 times to get them completely shuffled...not faster than manually doing it. There is no algorithm to the shuffling, it just incorporates two decks, card by card, together.

Sometimes the shuffler is difficult to use when all the cards don't make it through the shuffling mechanism.

The shuffler works well with two decks and is very affordable. I've used more expensive shufflers and this one works as well if not better.

If you are simply looking for an automatic card shuffler that does what it advertises, look no further.I have never used any other card shufflers so I can't compare it to higher priced models. With this one, you cut the deck, put 1/2 in one side and the other 1/2 in the other, press on the lever, watch as the cards are shuffled, 1 card upon another, until the deck is complete. Then you slide out the clear deck holder that is place over top of the lever...and you have your cards. You mainly need to make sure you have the deck as close to 1/2 and 1/2 as possible. Drawbacks....this product makes a lot of noise. I personally am not the type of person to care about this. I bought it for it's practicality. But everyone else at the card table complains about it, lol. It's often compared to a weed-eater or a remote control toy car. By the end of the night (and now before we even start) most people at the table want me to put it away. Let it be noted however that they are very traditional and would rather shuffle by hand anyway and also don't really understand the advantages of using an automatic card shuffler (less work having to shuffle and getting a more complete shuffle). This has been my experience with the 'toy.' You get what you pay for - it shuffles the cards well and I've had no trouble with it breaking or not functioning properly, etc. I didn't know what to expect and personally I am very happy with it. But if you want one that does more, and is probably more table friendly - then maybe look to invest more money in one. I can't imagine what else the price difference would be a result of.

The shuffler works fine, but the area where the cards land is not high enough to hold 2 decks of cards. It leaves about 10 cards sitting on top that need to be manually shuffled into the deck.
