Best, HEALTHIEST hair straightener yet.,
By
This review is from: CHI Turbo Ionic Ceramic Flat Iron 2" (Misc.)
The Chi Turbo Ionic Ceramic straighener is by far the best straightener I've ever used. It's a professional tool--it even comes with a warning label stating that in Canada, it's illegal to use /because/ it's a professional tool. God bless America!
I have very thick, curly, unruly hair. For those of you out there that have relatively the same kind of hair I do, you know how hard it is to get a great straightener that flattens your hair quickly, easily, and /healthily/. Look no further; this straightener is definitely curly-girl friendly. It heats up to 375 degrees (Fahrenheit)--which can also be dangerous, so obviously you wouldn't want this guy on and where little ones could reach it--which allows even the curliest strand to be stick straight. It has a very fast heat up time, which is about a minute or so to achieve the highest temperature. The product design prevents the handle from heating up, which keeps your hands nice and burn-free. The outside of the iron is covered in red felt--and honestly, I don't know what it's for but it looks nice. In the manual it says it assists in insulating the heat or something. I think one of the best features about this iron is how gentle it is on my hair. My hair has only gotten caught in the straightener a couple times in the year or so that I've had mine, as compared to this cheaper, metal, wet-to-dry straightener that I have on hand, which is constantly pulling at my hair, which leads to snapped pieces of hair, frizz, and split ends. Those are no fun, by far; and, that straightener has a metal iron, which is horrible for your hair. This straightener, on the other hand, is ionic ceramic, which means it's not only safe for your hair, it seals the cuticles (the ends of your hair) on every individual strand. It also eliminates the static factor--no need to worry about your hair clinging to your face and neck, or having to constantly mat it down or worry about avoiding even touching your hair. Straightening with this straightener makes your hair /very/ touchable. My hair is always silky and soft, and I've had people tell me my hair looks naturally straight after I use this. Oh yeah, and another super great thing about this straightener--it has a cord that is six feet long! I really don't have any complaints about this straightener, (except maybe the price) but one thing you would definitely have to watch out for is how hot this iron can get. Besides that, though, this is definitely the best straightener to go with! PROS: - Ionic ceramic iron - Maximum temperature of 375 degrees Fahrenheit - Fast heat up time (<80 seconds) - 6' long cord - Handle doesn't get hot - Doesn't make your hair staticky - Makes your hair silky smooth - Great for curly hair - Seals hair cuticles - Can work as a wet-to-dry CONS: - Gets very hot, contributes to burn hazard - Expensive Hope this helps! This straightener definitely helps me!

I bought my chi here and I didn't try it for months because I was traveling when it arrived so then I go to turn it on and it didn't heat up. I tried contacting the seller to see if there was anything I could do about it but they never replied back.
