I had previously tasted Carica at a food show and this tasted just the same. It's an acquired taste in the mango/papaya family but you will love it if you like tropical fruits. I eat it at room temperature with ice cream - gives me true flavor. Great in fruit salad when you have guests.

Excellent product from an excellent company. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner and his passion for this product is evident in the quality of this fruit. This very diverse product will foster creativity in your kitchen. From drinks to appetizers, main course to desert, Tamaya Chilean Carica is a must have for any kitchen.

In Chile they call them papayas and they are truly a gourmet's delight. I place the can/jar in the fridge. and serve them with ice cream and whipped cream anytime of the year. The flavor is delightful, but most of all, they come from a country up to par in technology, hygiene and sanitation. Also, they produce the best fruit anywhere. I used to buy their cherries and papayas in Paris, now I feel so happy that Amazon carries them. I wish Amazon would bring Chilean chocolates, especially Sahne Nuss, they are to die for. Thank you for giving me the chance to buy these ''papayas'' in the U.S.

This is a really nice sweet melow fruit that is unlike anything I've tried before. It is nothing like a papaya. I have pureed it and used it for cake in fillings and frostings. It is called a papaya, but the product does not come with any seeds, although it appears that way from the product picture. This is a true speciality food. It has a nice firmness making slicing it or dicing it very easy. The shipping packaging is excellent.
