This review is from: The Chinks in the Curtain (Hardcover)
These books (there's at least 1 more) were in the public library in my town when I was a kid. I don't know how I managed to get them from the adult section, but I do remember that they were very, very funny and engendered in me a lifelong devotion not only to British writers, but British satire in particular. Porter also wrote the wickedly funny Inspector Dover mystery series, which I strongly recommend as well.
