One of the best new acts I have heard in years!, December 31, 1998

If you are one of those music fans that feels like the days of NEW musical discoveries are behind you, well I think I have found the band for you!
On first listen, The Puddle Jumpers new album "CHOICES" leaps into your listening room with all the excitement and wonder of those school day afternoons spent listening to the latest album from Jethro Tull or The Moody Blues. I am serious when I say that this surprisingly unknown band from Seattle is as good if not better than many of the Classic Rock acts from the late 60s and early 70s. But don't let these comparisons confuse you! This material isn't a rehash of Classic Rock's bygone era! This is a well produced album that oozes with a fresh sound full of enthusiasm and confidence which you can't help but get caught up in.
Although many of the album cuts deal with hard subjects like the right to choose or the tragedy of addiction, this group's musical delivery of such delicate subject matter really seems to drive their message home loud and clear. A CRY FOR TOLERANCE! If we were trying to define this music in political terms, that would be the word I would choose.
I wouldn't consider these artists to be religious per se, but I think the term SPIRITUAL would apply in relationship to the close and emotional tie the listener begins to feel with these artists as you examine more closely their message while delighting in the subtle magic of their musical expertise.
This is the kind of album you can put on repeat and never get tired of hearing!
If you are a fan of The Moody Blues, Jethro Tull, Kansas, Pink Floyd and other such art-rock bands of the 70s. I think you owe it to yourself to pick up a copy of this album from The PUDDLE JUMPERS.
What about their debut album you say? I received a copy of it for Christmas and will be posting a review of that one here in a few days. My impressions so far are that of TOTAL BLISS.
Its not often you can find a group of musicians that can instill such confidence in their commitment to excellence and detail!
If there was a higher rating than 5 stars, I would give it to these guys in a heartbeat!

I LOVE this album! It is filled with great melodies and wonderful lyrics and screams to be played over and over and over!
I didn't think that the band could out do themselves after listening to their first CD, but I was very pleased to see that they did so in stride!
Wake up people! You need to buy this album so that these guys can get famous and tour so I can see them LIVE! =o)
