This product has compatibility issues with Windows 2000 Professional SP4. This product is misleading in its statement of one vehicle per CD ROM. It is ONE MODEL YEAR per CD. I tried to incorporate my Grand Cherokee Limited, 1996, and the Model year 1998. The software refused to allow me to have both models listed. One would expect that the 1998 listing would have the new data IE 5.9L engine in detail as well as the 5.2L engine. The 1998 model year is very vague about updates and/or changes made when incorporating the larger engine.

I suggest the Chilton hard copy books as being a better solution than their CD's. The package I purchased covered through 1999 and the latest file is mid year 2000. I tried the suggested link to ChiltonDIY.com only to discover that it will be "completed sometime soon". A four year old CD with a dead or dying link to their DIY page. Give me a break and a good book.

Of course there is the admonishment that if the package is opened the user now owns the package.

I own both the hard copy and the cd version of this repair manual. The cd is exactly like the book, down to the page numbers and photos. I like the cd because you can search a particular item without hunting in the index. I'm restoring a 92 Jeep Wrangler and so far it has told me all I've needed to know.

I purchased the cd-rom because there wasnt a book available at the store for chrysler. I got home and downloaded it on my computer only to find out it wont download correctly. I keep getting that it isnt compatable with ms-dos or windows and will not install. Worst of all there troubleshooting hours are Mon-Fri 8-5. I'm at work, not home how does that help. I suggest the book version and not the cd. because now i own it and it doesnt work!
