5.0 out of 5 stars Mach IV Pageturner
24/7 blood-boiling action from beginning to end. I'm a mega-fan of the genre, have read about everything there is out there, and this is--no doubt about it--one of the best. Agent David DeLuca and Team Red are unrivaled in fresh, creative ways to get results. Big Dig go boom? It out-24's 24!!! Bravo.

1.0 out of 5 stars Unbelievable
Wow. I'm almost speechless. Almost. I've been an active Army Counterintelligence Special Agent for over 6 years, and reality is SOOOOOOOOO far from this nonsense that I passed the first book around to the other CI agents I knew and we laughed for days. 2 years later, and my friends and I still laugh about how ridiculous it was. Special Forces don't even do half the stuff...

Special Forces don't even do half the stuff DeBatto or DeLuca (I keep having to stop and laugh and shake my head at the thinly-veiled self-aggrandizing exploits of "our hero") and his "elite" team do in every book. And last I checked, CID (Criminal Investigation Division) Special Agents handle things like murder. Counterintelligence agents investigate possible occurences of espionage, sabotage, subversion, sedition, or deliberate compromises of classified information. Never shall the two be confused. Only the Navy and the Air Force combine the two. To whomever decides, through simple ingnorance, to read any of the CI: Whatever books, please don't get impressed by what you read; its just a very tiny bit of truth mixed with whopping doses of misplaced desires, fabrications, delusions, and outright lies. Truth hurts in proportion to its veracity. (I wouldn't have given it even one star, but I had to.)
