About the Author
Debbie Longman is currently an associate professor at Southeast Louisiana State University. She received her PH.D from Louisiana State University and has been teaches college reading and developmental education courses for 20 years. Debbie (with co-author Rhonda Atkinson) has published dozens of textbooks and is active in NADE (the National Association for Developmental Education). Her professional interests range from incorporating critical thinking into development education to identifying individual learning styles for students with different reading skills.
