First let me say - "Be Realistic People!"
Often our expectations for 'beauty' products is that we'll end up looking like the models in the advertisements. It is not reasonable to expect miracles from beauty products. Not only do we usually want the results, we want them yesterday!
I've been using this product for several months now on dark spots and have found that while the spots are not gone, they are certainly reduced considerably. My skin tone is improved and this is the only product that has yielded results for me. That said, everyone is unique and therefore what works for me may not for you. The serum is light weight and pleasant in odor. It goes onto the skin without tugging and is easily absorbed - and - for me - works! Wishing you all health and ease......

This is actually my second time using the Clinique Even Better Clinical Dark Spot Corrector. I used it about a year ago to improve my skin tone before my wedding. However, I was not consistent with its use, so I could not tell a difference. I recently started using this product again. Six days ago to be exact. You see, I have had acne since I was twelve, so I have plenty of "dark" spots that need to be lightened. I have one spot in particular on the left side of my face where I had a group of pimples that became infected and left a horrible spot. I was even asked by a family member if I had ring worm on my face. It was very embarrassing. Like I said, I started using this product again almost a week ago, and the spot has already reduced tremendously!! After only six days! I can already tell a difference in my overall skin tone and my face even feels softer. My skin is normally VERY sensitive and prone to break-outs, but I have not had a problem with that with the Even Better Spot Corrector. It even came with a chart to track the progress of the spots on my face. Although I can tell a difference, I realize that in order for this product to reach its full capabilities, I must have patience and continue to use it everyday. This is very hard, considering we live in a society where we want to see results fast. With daily use, from what I have seen so far, I have faith that the Clinique Even Better Clinical Dark Spot Corrector will change my skin tone dramatically!

This product does work! I have had dark spots throughout my childhood. This is the only product that has done the job after years of trying other products. The dark spots are still there but certainly have diminished! However you do need to use an oil free SPF of 30 (try Murad) in conjunction with this product and use continously for 6-8 weeks to see results. This product currently sells for $49.50 at Macy's rather than the $60+ price on amazon.

used this product for 6 to 8 weeks. Does even skin tone but caused horrible odd small pimples and then more hyperpigmentation. Use with caution. Now I have to figure out how to get rid of all of the new spots and the new acne...

I had high hopes for this product after reading some of the other reviews, but this product is a huge disappointment. I have light skin with numerous small and large sun, age, and pregnancy related dark spots on my face. I've been using the corrector twice a day without fail for approx. 8 weeks, with absolutely no change. Not a trace. I might as well have been dabbing water on my face. This product is way too expensive to accept not even a hint of effectiveness! Clinique should be ashamed to market this snake oil. Don't waste your money like I did.

I have an olive skin tone and have tried this for about 6 months. I had no luck at all. I used it faithfully every morning and night. I did not see one difference at all on my spots on my face. It unfortunately did not work for me and at that price I expected a bit a of a difference. I asked the lady at the counter and she said I need to keep using it sometimes it could take a year or more to see a difference. Sorry but I will have to try something else if it "might" show a difference in over a year.

I purchased the Clinique Even Better Clinical Dark Spot Corrector about six weeks ago. I started using this product to minimize acne scars. The directions say that skin should appear softer after about two weeks of use, and further results for scaring or dark spots could be noticed as early as four weeks. After about one week I noticed my skin feeling a lot softer, smoother, and even looking healthier. Just recently I have starting to notice slight diminishing of acne scars. Small scars are almost completely gone, but larger ones remain the same. However, I believe that with continued use this will change.
There are some disadvantages to this product that I would to mention. If you have sensitive skin be sure to use this serum in moderation. You can still use it twice a day, but try only using one pump at a time. I have noticed some temporary redness and blotchy spots on my face with over use. Also, it can cause break outs so be sure to keep up with the your three steps (face soap, toner, and yellow cream) twice a day to keep skin clear and beautiful!

OK, as the title says, I never ever write a review. But, for this product, I will.

This stuff is amazing. I've been only using it for about a week. I'm 36, have some sun damage and have a light olive complexion. I have also been suffering from breakouts, milia and a host of obnoxious things that NEVER plagued me as a teen.

This product has lightened my skin, stopped the breakouts (and I know it's the product because where I didn't apply it (upper chest and back), they're still happening), and the milia (little encapsulated white heads that you can't get out on your own) are coming to the surface and coming out.

I never expected all of that. I'm sure it's a side benefit that is unintentional, but as long as it keeps working, I'll keep using it! Will definitely buy again.

I am 47 and fair-skinned. I have done a good job of staying out of the sun; I've never used tanning booths, but still find alot of mottling brown spots on my face. They are particularly heavy on my left side cheek area - go figure - I've been in the driver's seat chauffering my children for years!

I've been using this product for about 6-8 months (its hard to remember when I started using it). I am on my second bottle. The product lasts quite a long time. My brown spots are significantly improved. I am expecting them to almost disappear completely at this rate. The sales lady at the Clinique counter said that I would need to continue this product once daily for maintenance once they are gone. That is OK with me....its way cheaper than laser treatments and chemical peels!

The product is smooth, very absorbant, and pleasant smelling. I put it on first; let it absorb. Then the moisturizer; let it absorb. And I top it off with Clinique's 25 SPF facial sunscreen. I don't think I would have the results I have without the added sunscreen product.

I highly recommend giving this product a try. I hope your results are as good as mine. Be patient, nothing happens overnight.

I bought this product because I was desperate to get rid of a few unsightly acne scars. I grimaced at the price, but, encouraged by reviews, I bought it. When I first tried it, I wasn't impressed by how oily and thick the corrector was, even less so that it didn't seem to be absorbed by my skin. But I carried on with using it...terrible idea. Instead of my scars fading, I developed cystic pimples on the points of application, which, without fail, leave me with scars. So, in short, I'm out $60+, my scars have not faded, and I've got a few new unsightly scars for my trouble. I thought that perhaps I was just an unlucky person, but the other 10 reviews here and a youtube makeup guru's review of the product with the exact same experience as mine tell me otherwise. Do not waste your money on Clinique's Even better Clinical Dark Spot Corrector - it will leave you worse off than when you began.
