Very quiet while it is doing its job. I can see the solder smoke being absorbed from my soldering station even from a reasonable distance away. Priced just right, especially when compared to local electronics store.

This is great, it sucks up smoke when I'm wood burning. there is still a mild odor while I'm working but it doesn't linger as it did before I got this absorber. I use this all the time and I even have 2 friends who decided they needed one for themselves.

My only complaints are that this fan seems to be slightly off balance and tips onto its back very easily. And that it makes a bit of noise. If I'm talking to someone I dont have to yell, but I do have to speak a little bit louder than my usual indoor voice.

This product does what it says: it absorbs smoke whilst you are soldering; however, I disagree with the review that stated it is "quiet."
The AC fan inside (SUNOR SR100A P/N 12038HSL from China) is loud enough to become irritating after a few minutes of use.
The price is right, though, compared to similar products.

A great addition to the wood burner's work station and perfect for use in classes! Compact size and light weight makes this perfect to take with you to workshops. The price makes it affordable for all artists!

i have it right next to my stained glass project, practically on top of it, and i can still see smoke/fumes funneling upward above it, rather than toward it through the filter.

It's a little weak. Unless you solder right next to it, the smoke escapes. Even the smoke that goes in it... how do I know if the lead is absorbed? The filter is so coarse, I am sure the vast majority of smoke particles escape it. It is quiet though. I'm considering creating a "fume hood" work area to mount it in, and vent it out a window.
