4.0 out of 5 stars Delivers as Promised, November 28, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: CMT 203.030.10 10" x 30 Tooth, .126 Kerf, 5/8" Bore Table Saw Glue Line Ripping Blade (Tools & Home Improvement)
The CMT Glue Line Ripper (GLR) delivers as advertised. The CMT is very nicely made and follows a TCG design configuration that's similar to other GLRs like the Freud LM74. It's precision made in Italy from very high quality materials, and has nice thick carbide that'll endure many resharpenings. It has a very low side clearance which leaves a nice smooth edge on rip cuts that are glueable right off the saw without extra sanding or touchup. An exposed edge would still need some attention prior to receiving a finish coat, but edges being joined are good to go as is if the material is flat. This is a 1/8" (0.126") full kerf blade that's best suited for a saw of 3hp or more, but should also be fine on a smaller saw that's well setup. The GLR's are typically intended on materials up to 1"...thicker materials are best ripped with a standard 24 tooth bulk ripper. It's great for doing a lot of ripping and will spare your other blades. Note also that this is a specialty ripping blade that's not well suited for crosscuts, as the tooth configuration causes higher tearout than typical ATB blades. My biggest complaint is it's narrow operating range and lack of versatility.

This review is from: CMT 203.030.10 10" x 30 Tooth, .126 Kerf, 5/8" Bore Table Saw Glue Line Ripping Blade (Tools & Home Improvement)
I love it, just as fast as my older rip blade but a much nicer cut.
