I use this book a lot. Since I haven't had guitar lessons it's a good book because it shows the chords. I don't necessarily agree that the song selections are the "100 greatest country songs", but there are good ones included, both old and new.

As a beginning guitarist this collection is a bit advanced for me but there's enough songs that are a bit easier and others that push me quite a bit. The book as a nice variety of old/new, slow/fast, easy/difficult that it will appeal to most country lovers. I, personally, thought the song choices were excellent. I recommend it!

After receiving The Eagles Guitar/TABs book, I was starting to think that I shouldn't have ordered this one at the same time. But I just received the CMT 100 Greatest Songs and its great! professionally printed and easy TABs to follow for beginners like me. I have attempted to play some of the songs and they sound identical to the original songs. Unlike the Eagles purchase this book doesn't only give the note but breaks the tabs down into the strings played in that note.

WELL WORTH THE MONEY!

In my opinion Hal Leonard provides the best compulation of songs in their songs books and this is no exception.Great songs are included in this book! If you are a country fan you will want this book! Almost every song is recognizable and easy to play. It is a bit expensive but if you look at all the songs it has to offer it is well worth the money! Highly recommended!

My 15 yr old son wanted this song book. He has been playing guitar for a couple of months but has played mandolin for a while and loves this book. It has lots of songs with the guitar tabs. My daughter can also use it for piano.

Thank you so much! I got this for my mom who loves to play the guitar and she loved it. It had a lot of songs that she knew that weren't really old but they were definitely the older good ones ;)

I'm a beginer guitar player, and although this book has some great songs in it, it is not for the beginer guitarist!
