I've had acrylic nails for years and recently discovered the CND Shellac system. I got my first Shellac manicure six days ago and chose the Rose Bud color. All the hype and excitement over this product is valid. After six days, my nails look as good as the day they were professionally manicured. I have horses here at home and I feed, scoop manure, and ride without gloves; that's an extreme test of the Shellac's durability. Application of the Shellac is quick and my nails look fabulous.

Before you buy, the photo of the bottle is not the right color. It's muted, almost a slight mauve tone to it. It's a very nice subdued pink. Check the CNC Shellac website for a better idea of the color.

I really like this color. It's a nice pink without being too bright, but it's not completely neutral - perfect if you want a more conservative look. I absolutely love that the CND Shellac system works so nicely and lasts 2 weeks with no chips (as long as I apply it properly).

This is a soft baby pink - almost like cotton candy. It is a cream polish, not frosted. For those looking for a really nice pink, it's one of my favorites. If you want your polish to POP, look for another shade. Sometimes the color of the polish through the bottle is a little deceiving; you really have to put it on your nail to see the true color.

I love this shellac system. I do it at home. Had no expérience but it is very easy to pick up. This shade is a lovely pink that makes me think of a very girly Barbie medium pink. Not top Bright, not pale either. I applied 2 coats. Color is as pictured on the bottle to me. For pink lovers, it is a gorgeous color. For Warmer skin tones (i am tanned) it is a great color that definitely compliments the skin tone!

I wouldn't use any other product for my nails. My manicurist doesn't carry it so I take it with me. Lasts for a good three weeks without a problem.

I like soft pinks and found that this is too hot pink for me. One of the reviews thought it wasn't pink enough. I like more subtal tones, so this was not for me, even using one coat. I will never use it again. The one I love so far is Negligee. Althought the bottle is acually white, the color is a classic, beautiful solf pink, see through slightly. Very classy. I would never wear hot pinks, blues or crazy colors. I am going to try some reds for the holidays, I ordered Decadance. I like the color of it in the bottle, but haven't tried it yet.

I received pink rose bud yesterday. I realized right away it's not the color I thought it would be. I also thought it would be a hot pink. the color is ok but I had to put 3 applications. Nice color but not what I wanted. Guess I'll have to order something else. I do love the shellac though it's awesome.

I'd like to start off by saying Shellac is incredible. It lives up to all the hype - stays on for the full 14 days, doesn't chip, and comes off very easily. However, the color in the photo is incorrect. The seller has uploaded a photo of either Tutti Frutti or Hot Pop Pink. Rose Bud is not a hot pink but rather a mid-range pink- in in between bright and pale pink.

Also note that you can only apply Shellac at home with the proper tools - it cannot just brush on like other polish so make sure you're aware of this. You'll need the base and top coat from CND and you'll need the UV lamp. I'd recommend going to a salon unless you're very familiar with nail design. It generally isn't much more expensive than a traditional manicure with regular polish but stays looking perfect for so much longer.
