Do NOT be put off by the vast amount of material contained in COBIT. It is meant to be a reference guide for IT Management. If you have just become a Chief Information Officer or a Chief Technical Officer of an IT shop of any size, you MUST be up to speed on all aspects of IT, not just your particular area of expertise. COBIT is the way to gain the required extra knowledge needed to do your job! What are your critical success factors? How do you judge the progress of your shop's performance and goals?
