A little flimsy, but does the job,

I bought this so that I could play CD's or listen to the radio while "scrapbooking". Its light and compact, so its easy to carry from room to room.The television only gets one channel using the attached antenna, but it comes with an external antenna adapter so I am able to hook it up to my house antenna and get decent reception on about 20 channels. A car adapter is also included, which is a nice bonus for such an inexpensive item. There are several inputs on the back of the unit, so you CAN hook it up to a VCR or DVD player if you wanted to. Its kind of a nice option that you wouldn't expect to find on a unit of this price. Having said all that, the unit is pretty cheaply made. Its plastic, painted silver and I think if it was dropped on a hard surface it would be destroyed. The power, volume, tuning, and selection buttons are plastic painted to look like chrome. The upside I guess is that the unit itself is extremely light. The door to the CD player is sturdy enough, which is the most important thing and the attached telescoping antenna is real metal. The sound quality is decent, and the television picture is crystal clear on the channels that it does get. All in all, I'd recommend it to someone looking for a combo unit that you can take in the car, camping, or just about anywhere. |
