When I ordered this from my local small-chain outlet, Bull Moose Music, I was anticipating it's arrival, then I picked it up.
$23.97?! OUCH! That put a hurt on my wallet.
But it was a Canadian import, so a higher price for a single DVD was expected. But it was definately worth it!
I finally got to see what the 1st Red Rider video, "Lunatic Fringe" looked like (typical of a low-budget video from 1981: shot on videotape, minimal footage of the whole band performing (mostly Tom lip-synching w/ his guitar reduced to a prop w/ the rest of Red Rider being just silohettes in the background) lots of superimposing (the pedal steel solo is seen over a rather stiff Tom) & the band seems to have made themselves over (the back cover photo of "As Far as Siam" was obviously taken before it was recorded). The early-1983 clip for "Light in the Tunnel/Human Race" is better done than "Fringe" since it's shot on 30-millimeter film & incorporates special effects & there's even a smoke machine (although the cameraman focuses directly on the drummer during the second verse). "Young Wild Thing" really splashes on the comuterized special effects & picture shifting.
On top of the Red Rider stuff, it also includes Tom's solo work, including "Life is a Highway", Tom's biggest US hit!
Overall, w/ the inclusion of interviews & Red Rider Reunion clips & a exclusive-to-DVD video for 1980's "White Hot", this ranks as one of the best music-DVD purchases I made this year.

This is how a DVD of music videos should be made - a true 5.1 DTS mix. It sounds amazing, especially on "Lunatic Fringe" when the guitar comes out of 4 different speakers. Wow!!! Includes all the best Red Rider videos plus Tom solo videos ("Life Is A Highway," etc.) Highly recommended, and not just for Canadians!
