I'm in the Army and do a fair amount of sleeping outdoors, and I can say that this is a great sleeping bag for what it is designed for (family car camping, advertised temperature range). It is very comfortable, nice and warm, and even has a built-in strap system when you roll it up to keep things together - this alleviates the need for a rope or bungie cord/etc that could get lost. A stuff sack would still be better, but it's certainly a good thought and a welcome addition at zero cost. It can also zip together with a second identical sleeping bag. What I would not use this sleeping back for - very cold temps, bare ground sleeping (no cinch at the top of the bag, likely no rain resistance) or backpack camping as it is bulky (a stuffsack would help with this) and a bit heavier than it could be. Again, for what it is designed/targeted for, it is a GREAT sleeping bag!

Rolls up fine,

Other reviewer said it doesn't roll up. It rolls up fine, it has a built in bag type thing sewn on the bottom. I dont know what he meant because even if you can't roll it tight it doesn't matter, you just get it as tight as you can, rap the flap around and tie the 2 strings. Even has built in nylon handle to carry it. I have not used this in cold weather yet but when I do I will update the review. I did lay in it and it is good size and has one small pocket inside for cellphone or wallet. The zipper zips good. Pretty sure this bag is the replacement to the very popular 'coleman colossal' bag. One difference I noticed is this uses 'coletherm insulation' while the colossal used 'Hollofil-808 insulation' Both carry a 5 YEAR warrenty. The colossal looks a little thicker in the pictures but I never owned one so I cant be sure. I did own one of the coleman bags with the cotton outside for many years that my grandfather gave me. Back then they seemed like they used a 'tougher' cotton on the outside but maybe its because this bag is still new. I want to add that I bought the very popular Teton Sports Celsius XL bag off amazon and did not care for it. The outside is very slippery like a bubble jacket and prown to ripping. Also if its hot and you try to sleep on top of that bag you will sweat bad. Not with this one.Update--used it all this winter in my 18wheeler and it worked good. Wouldn't use it in weather below like 45* F, the storage flap has proved to be slightly annoying like the other reviewer said but I haven't cut it off yet. The zipper has snagged only a few times. Changing my score from a 5 to 4 star because the outside cotton is not as tough as the older bag I had, its cheaper material. Amazon has lowered the price to 35$ now. for that price it might be a 5star. Not a big selection of oversized sleeping bags.

We bought two different Coleman Sleeping bags, The Oak Point and the Biscayne. My wife and I like sleeping out on our 26' boat in the cooler weather. We've never used sleeping bags before. These worked great. Since they are both the same large size we were able to zip them together. We will put the Oak Point on top when the weather is colder and the Biscayne when warmer. We've only used them once and the temp only got down to about 50 degrees, but the comfort was wonderful. Maybe it was enhanced by the fact that we were able to make a full size bed out of them. We're looking forward to the next opportunity in a little cooler weather. We're in Texas so it doesn't get that cold. But I'd like to try them in 40 degrees later this year.

I bought this bag to use on a coleman cot for when company comes to visit, I live in a small apartment so space saving is necessary. I wanted an all cotton bag so it would feel like a nice blanket. I wash everything before I use it, so I took the bag to the laundry to wash in a front loading machine per the instructions. It washed and dried very nicely, I put it on the coleman cot and I was so cozy there I layed there and watched TV. I don't know if this is a good camping bag or not but it fits my needs perfectly.

I purchased this item for a couple of reasons, mainly because of its nice big size (I hate it when my feet and legs feel constrained and I have to sleep like chopsticks), and from the overwhelming good reviews. I must say though I was quite disappointed when I received the item. The build quality was great, it was even bigger than I imagined, but the that was all trumped by the very uncomfortable material that lines the inside. Maybe it is just because I am a hot sleeper, and am used to the slick insides of most sleeping bags, but this material was hot and scratchy, and not soft the way it appears in the . This also made it quite difficult for me to roll over inside the sleeping bag without it getting all twisted (and I am only 140 lbs). I bet many people wouldn't mind the material in this sleeping bag (maybe those who like jersey sheets?), but it just wasn't for me, and was quite uncomfortable.

I was pleasantly surprised when this sleping bag arrived. (about 3 months ago) For the price, it was quite substantial, and appeared very well made. Both the interior and exterior fabric are of a good quality, and the zipper appears durable. I had purchased this, because my very tall 14 year old was headed off for a long winter weekend at space camp. I thought he would rather just crawl into a sleeping bag, than have to make a bed with sheets and blankets. When he returned, he told me that the bag was very warm, and actaully quite comfortable. He has since used it several times when spending the night with friends, and during our week of being snowed in, he camped out in front of the tv/dvd player with it. This sleeping bag was most definitely worth the price. And I think this will be a sleeping bag that he uses for many years to come.

Great sleeping bag for the big folks!,

Let me start off by saying that I'm 6' and about 320 lbs and I am always leery of products made for larger people because they never seem to use actual big people during r&d of said products. But Coleman got it right on this one. There is ample room to move around in this bag and it's long enough that my head isn't laying on the cold tent floor. I've been able to fit into normal sized sleeping bags and I always felt very restricted but not with this bag. I haven't tested it in colder weather yet but I'm probably not going to be the best judge of this feature as I usually run a bit warmer than those around me. Overall for casual family camping this is great bag for those of us who are larger than average. I wouldn't use it for any long backpacking trips as it's not really designed for that and it's a bit bulky unless you use a compression bag. I'm very happy with my purchase and actually ordered another so I can zip them together to make a couples sleeping bag.

We zipped this together with a lighter Coleman Bag and flip it over according to the weather. It works great and is quite roomy.

This bag worked well for the occasional need for a sleeping bag that is roomy and not too hot or heavy.

Greast for the price and big and soft. The only thing I wish was the outside cloth was more rugged and yes I would have been willing to pay more for heavy outside canvas, my cats have already tore the outside from them playing around!
