This case is a great idea that began for the MacBook Air. A tan case like this with an Air in it really looks like an interoffice envelope. I figured I would try one out with it's bigger brother the MacBook Pro. I'm so glad I did. The red string closure really adds contrast to the overall look. People see it and have no idea what's inside. It offers good protection and a touch of class. I couldn't recommend it more highly.

The Manila-13 is well padded, fits a uni-body MacBook Pro 13" very nicely and the red tie string always gets noticed! The leather is not "buttah" smooth Italian leather, but neither is the price. While the product description on Amazon is accurate, the "V-Neck cut-away design for easy computer retrieval" statement puzzled me. I had to look again at the sleeve and see that, yes, there is a "V". It's very shallow though, less than a 1/2 inch deep. A deeper "V" wouldn't hurt.

I wavered on my star rating for the Manila-13. Four stars because it was in black instead of tan, leather that is more Houston cowhide than Milanese leather. But I gave the Manila-13 five stars because it is exactly what it says it is; well made, well priced. I'm happy I bought it.

I'm very happy with this purchase even if it's more expensive than other laptop sleeves. The envelope-look makes it unique because it's not like other sleeves I commonly see on the market. The leather is not that soft and smooth but i like it because it keeps the shape intact and makes it less expensive than other Italian leather envelope sleeves. The velcro enclosure is a nice addition, too, because you can still close it without using the red string enclosure. Also, because of the black color, stains wouldn't be visible and cleaning it would be easy.
But what i really love about this sleeve is the fit...My Apple MacBook Pro MC700LL/A 13.3-Inch Laptop fits perfectly! What's more--even if i have the Speck SeeThru Case for 13-Inch MacBook Pro Unibody SD Slot - Clear (MB13AU-SEE-CLR-D) on my laptop, it still fits the leather sleeve snugly. Before buying this sleeve i thought i could only use it without the speck clear case on my laptop but boy was I wrong. I can use it with or without the clear case so i was really satisfied.

I did a lot of research on these sleeves, and I am glad I didn't go with the cheap ones vs. this one. The price is decent, but the product is really great. The sleeve is strong, VERY slick, wears very well and the red closing string is strong. I'd absolutely recommend this product. Fits perfectly for my 11" air.

The quality of the leather is superb, and the inside is nice and plush. It keeps my new Air nice and snug.
It was much thicker then I imagined it, but it makes sense to protect the laptop.

After doing a lot of research and arguing with my best friend about a great sleeve instead of a cheap one. I decides to buy this beautiful leather sleeve for my macbook pro. Is stylish and very original design. I love it.
