Excellent for use at the Restaurant
Can't say enough about how satisfied we are with this 8 qt double boiler. It's great for preparing and holding any of our soups that we prepare at the restaurant. Locally, double boilers were well beyond what we wanted to pay, so we are very fortunate to find such a great product at a savings. You can't go wrong with this purchase, whether for home or commercial use.

Does not hold 8 quarts
It will only hold six quarts properly(seven to the very top but you have major boil over). very disappointed. buyer beware!!

This 8 QT double boiler is fabulous. I enjoy making thick soups with a milk or cream base. My favorite is crab bisque. If it's made the day before, then reheating it becomes a problem because it wants to stick to the bottom of the pan. This double boiler is large enough to handle the amount of soup made and, of course, allows it to heat up without sticking to the bottom. I've needed this size double boiler for a long time.

I use this double boiler to make cheddar cheese & many other items. It it well made for the price. I would buy this again.
