I have had this little ac unit for over one year, got it from homedepot, I have it in my master bedroom, the air that comes out of this unit is 57 degrees, I keep it on the low setting and the room is about seventy six with the help of two fans, while it is 97 outside, at night the room gets cold maybe down to 71 degrees, we only need it to be eighty, so we are very happy with the performance and the durability, we take down the unit and bring it inside for the winter, great product, if you need something for about 400 sq this unit is all you need, fill the gaps with foam or a wooden board, it will fit almost any window.

I wanted to write a review for those who have very small windows like I do. The width of the window I wanted to put this in is 21". There was no unit that I could find with specs for that small a width. This unit didn't either. I think it states 23" minimum, but I was able to easily install this with room to spare after a slight modification. I cut 1.5" off each plastic bracket that hold the adjustable panels on the sides of the unit. It would be possible to cut the brackets down another three inches total. This means this unit could fit into a window as small as 18-19". Really I don't know why the brackets are so long because they don't fit flush into the mounts unaltered. I am happy that this fit so well. I did try it out and it is pretty quiet on low cool.

Can not complain for the electric draw this little AC did clear out my bedroom of hot air in under 20 Min and it has a size of 14" x 11". Makes some noise but worth it for the cost of $100

I moved into an apartment that did not have central air, so I went out to search for a reasonably priced AC window unit. Long story short this guy was fairly easy to install [just read the manual], and I had it up and running in two seconds flat. Does exactly what is advertised, and is simple in design. Truth be told this AC unit can create a fairly cold atmosphere in your room, depending on how large it is. I'm happy with my purchase.

I live in Arizona , so needless to say , it's Hot ! I installed one of these in my 12 X 24 foot shop . The temp would often get near 90 degrees by afternoon .
This little AC unit keeps it easily at 70 degrees , even when it's 100 outside !
Best investment ever !!

I picked up this unit recently at a local Home Depot for my bedroom...(It's the exact same model, and it was $119.00 as of this writing). It's a typical small room AC with a temp control, two speed fan, and cheap, pain in the butt to install and get right side panels. It's very quiet when operating, one of the best I have owned in that respect. And when the compressor is operating, the air is nice and cold and satisfying...

Unfortunately, there in lies the problem. The compressor is hardly ever running. It just doesn't stay on long enough to get the room cool enough for me, even with the thermostat turned up all the way. My last AC that lasted some 5 years was one I could keep on 4 on a scale of 7 on the temp dial and enjoy a 66o room if I wanted it. Even all the way up to 7 on this thing gets you 72o at best. A lot better than 80 or 90 something which this house gets too on hot summer days, but not cool enough for me for sleeping. I really don't know if this is something new in all ACs to keep us from using to much energy, but I don't like it. I want an old time AC that really can get a room as cold as I want it, and trust me, this unit isn't it. Just for the record, my bedroom is a mere 15 by 18, and not super heated by the sun or too many windows. I'm going to keep it since it's better than nothing and I am too lazy to bring it back and try something else. But I would suggest if you want a small room AC that really gets down for you, pass this model up and keep looking. You won't be satisfied with it any more than I am... : (
