1.0 out of 5 stars Smithsonian should know better, February 26, 2002

This review is from: CONDITIONS NOT OF THEIR CHOOSING (Smithsonian Series in Ethnographic Inquiry) (Hardcover)
The name Guaymi is not a native american word, but a name imposed by invaders on the Ngäbe People. It is un-scientific for the Smithsonian to be so aloof from its own racist slurs that earn Black List attention with Instituto Uraba. Our new web site shall let you know.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Information, March 26, 2000

Auzzie "auzziek" (Baltimore, MD USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: CONDITIONS NOT OF THEIR CHOOSING (Smithsonian Series in Ethnographic Inquiry) (Hardcover)
This book adequatley describes the less than humane conditions of Panamanian Indians, especially the Guaymi. It does not ahave a lot about their culture or history, which is what I was more interested in.
