Desai has provided a very thorough analysis of the mind-body connection in this book as she describes the role of each of the 7 chakras (energy planes) in the body and their contribution to our well-being (or reasons why we are not feeling well). I found the book to be insightful and interesting - it provided perspective and a healthy level of introspection!

Shirley Desai has applied the wisdom of yoga's seven chakras to help best understand our own motivations and apply insight into the decisions we make every day. It doesn't claim to give you all the answers but does give you a focused framework to align your thinking with your spiritual energy. I thoroughly enjoyed the book and would recommend it to both yoga enthusiasts and novices alike.
