Editorial Reviews

From the producers of ""Rude Boy"" and ""Gangsta's Paradise,"" comes the greatest Jamaican action comedy of all-time! Directed by Trenten W. Gumbs, ""Cop and a Bad Man"" is sure to have you rolling with laughter one minute and clutching your seat the next. Jamaican Detective Colonel Stevens (Leo Wilson) is sent to Oakland, California to capture three escaped Jamaican criminals and return the Queen's stolen jewels to the Jamaican government. Finding Bandit (Hurricane Gilbert) incarcerated, Detective Stevens learned the other two criminals, Massive (Jon ""Ras Kidus"" MacFarlane) and Vincent (Bogle Dread), are loose on the streets with the jewels. Under the custody of Detective Stevens, Bandit is temporarily released from prison to assist in locating the jewels. Leading Detective Stevens through unfamiliar city streets, Bandit quickly turns the search for the jewels into a hilarious game of cat-and-mouse. Making a few extra stops here and there, Bandit continues to pushes the envelope, driving Detective Stevens mad. Recently released from prison, Massive is also on hunt for the jewels. Ready to cash-in, he tries to convince Vincent to give up the hidden location of the jewels. Dissatisfied with Vincent's reply, Massive becomes fixated on finding and selling the jewels. Massive and his crew, Albert (Courtney ""Undah-Priviledge"" Nevers) and Glock (Clive Mair) start a street war with Vincent and his posse. When Massive threatens Vincent's street business and his girlfriend, Makeda (Chelsea A. Brown), Vincent returns the heat, ready to kill. Featuring hit music by Jamaica's top artists, including Bounty Killa, Busy Signal, Movado, Elephant Man and more, ""Cop and a Bad Man"" is this summer's hysterical action flick that is not to be missed!

OK, where shall I begin? I love most genres of movies and it doesn't matter what it is as long as it's entertaining. However, this one missed its mark for me. I really dislike typing this, but, it was just down right stupid! I watched it all the way thru, I didn't get up and get a bowl of icecream and leave the movie playing nor was i texting anyone, so it's safe to say...I didn't miss anything! So while this movie may not get much air time, if you're really looking for something worth watching, pick up SHOTTAS or THRID WORLD COP. Now those two are the bomb! Loved them. But, again, as in my reviews I constantly state, see for yourself!
