After battling severe eczema for nine months, including a hospital stay, I finally found this stuff. It's wonderful! I mean, I can sleep again. But it took me a little time to see how it works. I had eczema on my arms and hands and fingers. My fingers would crack and peel and crack and peel at the knuckles. Then the new skin would crack again almost immediately.

It says this cream contains seven moisturizers. One of them seems to be a waxy layer that works it's way to the top and becomes almost like a second skin. It has to "rest" for about 15 minutes, at which time it settles in; it can sting a bit until then. Once it's dry, but still feels "waxy" the pain goes away. If you try to apply more while it still has that waxy feel (about five to six hours) the waxy stuff will just gum up. For my knuckles, I would put it on with my fingers clenched. It provided a "skin" on top of my new skin which strengthened it until the skin was strong enough to not crack anymore.

I've had the best results with rinsing off and then reapplying after seven to eight hours, after the waxy feeling is gone. This has worked very well. This is the best product I've tried and I've tried just about everything. Early on, though, when my eczema was really bad, I think it might have stung too much. The gentlest lotion I found was Vanicream Lite (make sure it's the Lite) which I would recommend if your skin is really painful. Then go on to this stuff.

Okay, maybe this lotion is not a miracle worker in the biblical sense. But, we have had amazing results with this product. My daughter has terrible eczema on her arms. We have tried different types of remedies from oatmeal baths to prescription ointments. I saw a coupon for this in the paper and decided to give it a shot. And, it has been great! It really cleared up the eczema and my daughter's discomfort. And, her skin feels much, much softer. And, it has a nice scent. We saw results in less than three days. My daughter is actually weaing short sleeve shirts again!

I have had eczema for years and have tried numerous creams, lotions, prescriptions etc but NOTHING has really helped as well as this product. I've only been using it for about a week and it has been nothing short of miraculous. My eczema had recently started to affect my eyelids to the point of cracking and itchy, flaking skin. I had to stop wearing any makeup at all around my eyes. I found this product and the very first time I used it, my relief was almost immediate. I have found that I has to use it very sparingly....just a little does wonders for me. As I type this, I am wearing mascara and have not signs of any skin discomfort anywhere.

I hope others who have been suffereing can find that it works as well for them as it did for me.

Had a flare-up that lasted nearly 18 months, prescription ointments would chase it around but never quite remove it. This stuff cured it in just a few weeks. Excellent stuff, hope more people hear about it.

I've used it only 3 or 4 times and I'm seeing a great improvement. After spending over a month trying different products and worrying nothing would work, this one cleared up the redness after just two uses. Now you can hardly see where I had broken out (my wrist).

I have some of the worst hand eczema you can imagine. I have my whole life and now it's worse since I wear gloves at work 8-10 hrs a day. My hands were always bloody, flaking, itchy. I couldn't even give my kids a bath without being in agony. I saw this in a last ditch search before full insanity and it is AMAZING!!!!

I've had eczema my entire life. It's been a horrible affliction that no one, not even dermatologists, can understand. I itch myself uncontrollably to the point where I bleed, and then I keep on itching. My bedsheets always have blots of blood on them because I do most of my itching in bed when I'm trying to sleep. Not only do I have to wash my sheets constantly, but I also lose a lot of precious sleep. I've tried everything on the market and used steroid ointments as well to try and deal with the symptoms--they just didn't work for me. Recently, I had a particularly bad outbreak and was buying all sorts of different creams to help with it. I happened to find that Cortizone released this new lotion targeted specifically for dealing with eczema. This stuff works. It's only been three days with the cream, and my skin is like a normal person's, finally! It really helps my skin keep in moisture and minimizes my itching. My eczema was all over my body, including my face--I take a quick, lukewarm shower, jump out and pat myself dry, and then apply the cream on my skin and rub it in. I feel moisturized the entire day and haven't noticed myself itching at all. Before bed, I re-apply and have been able to sleep very peacefully without waking up to itch. I read in some reviews that it gucks up, especially when re-applying it. I haven't had any problems with that, but maybe I'm not using as much of it on my skin as some people do. Anyway, I'm just super happy that I found this cream. My skin is so smooth and moisturized. I never write reviews, but I felt that I just needed to get my message out there about how awesome this cream is! I hope it works just as well for you :)

I love this product. Just what I've been dreaming of for years, excellent itch relief, from eczema that moisturizes, I have never found anything that works so well!!!

I don't have horrible cracking bleeding eczema... just some dry patches on my stomach and chest that flake if scratched, but are noticeable b/c I'm very pale. I tried this, even following the wash and reapply instructions, and all it did was relieve the itching (which isn't too bad)... but it didn't actually reduce the appearance of the spots/fix the dryness. It was actually rather uncomfortable to have the waxy build up turn into little balls after a couple of hours, and even when dry it stuck to my clothes a bit. Maybe this is a good product if your eczema is bad to the points I've heard described, but it really did very little for me. I still have the same random rough/dry patches in the same spots. Sucks, man.

Much like other reviewers, this stuff really DOES WORK! I started with the rash (eczema - at least that's what my dermatologist "thinks" it is) on my shins and it eventually spread to my arms and back. I was prescribed medication (steroid cream) and it would eventually "tame" the areas but the scaring (for the lack of a better word) was still there - I was told not to use it more than I absolutely had to because it was "bad for my skin" if I did. Of course once I quit using it, it would return in full force. Figured I'd give this a try because the Hydratensive Cortizone-10 has done wonders for dry skin. Have been using it for about 10 days now and it's about all gone - the "scaring" has faded to barely visible and I assume it won't be long before it's gone completely. The steroid cream felt like vaseline on my skin, this is nothing more than a lotion that I don't even notice.
