I am an average-sized female, and this cot could easily hold a very large person, but I bought it for the exta width. The cot is light-wieght and folds up nicely into a green carrying case. To assemble, first you unfold the main part, then you attach the four aluminium tubular legs. This was a bit of a challenge with one of the legs, because I couldn't get the tube to line up with the pipe at first, but it may be easier the next time I set it up. The fabric is a heavy-duty green material. I laid on it to test it out, and it produced some sounds whenever I moved around or turned over. I think that this will get better, too. I am a very picky sleeper which is why I purchased the widest cot available, and I am going to place a good-quality foam pad on top of it, too.

I used the big cot this past summer. it performed quite well and was comfortable. assembly the first time proved a challenge but it went smoothly. the nights i used it kept me dry as it poured both nites !shipping i felt was quite expensive (one half the cost of the cot)!!this is a rather large cot, so make certain it will fit in your tent..

i have had one now for 10 years and i use it every year about 20 times for hunting fishing family frainds staying the night and it light enof i use it for r quad back packing trips we do everyyear well worth the money

I bought this cot to use on camping trips and hunting trips.It is exactly what I needed. I am 6'4" 270lbs and this cot holds me and is very sturdy.It has plenty of room to move unlike some other cots I have used in the past. Love my BIG GRIZZLY!!!!!!!!!!

I'm back to purchase another one of these cots because it is so much better than any other we have that either one (A) sleeps well but feels guilty about a tossing, turning, groaning tent-mate, or (B) one IS the tossing, turning, groaning tent-mate who is so miffed that a gallant offer to let the tent-mate use the 'good cot' was cheerfully accepted, that one still can't sleep.
The cot has the C-shaped legs that help keep the tent bottom watertight, is much easier to assemble after a couple of times (trying putting it on its side to get the legs on), and that extra width (while a bit wider than desired for day) gives your MP3, flashlight, or moccasins room & for easy access should you need them during the night. The construction of these cots make it easy to just turn it on edge if more room is desired in the tent anyway - our other cots wouldn't have been so obliging. And we think we can stack them if wanted, too. Note that there is not a lot of room under them for storage, (or hiding, if you hear a large, furry, snuffling, big-clawed sort of noise in the middle of night)and they are a bit on the heavy side, but you'll be well-rested for the effort. And the carrying case has a nice wide strap and is also of rugged construction. Costs more but it has proven itself worth it.

The Big Grizzly Cot is a life saver when I go car camping or have friends stay over in my little home. The cots are comfortable and sturdy.
