This is a real smooth caulking gun. The thrust ratio provided by this gun is definitely noticeable when your dispensing the product of your choice. I recently repaired a gutter leak using this gun to apply the gutter sealant and did not have any problems whatsoever during the repair process. The caulking gun barrel can actually rotate, in order to allow you to re-position your tip on the caulking tube without constantly having to rotate your hands into different positions while you work. Be prepared though to open your tube of caulk with an alternate puncture tool, as this gun does not have a built in puncture tool.

Great tool but no wire to open the tubes with. The pressure ratio makes using thick caulks like Osi and other stuff a breeze.

I was mighty skeptical of just how much leverage they could actually build into a device that still looks fundamentally the same as every other caulk gun on the market, but one squeeze shut me right up. Urethane and butyl glide out effortlessly--so much so that you are likely to shoot way too much out until you get used to the way this gun feels. If you work with high viscosity sealants, or if you ever find yourself needing to graft an extra foot of tubing on to the end of your cartridge to reach behind an oddly placed toilet in a tiny bathroom, this will save you a lot of pain and frustration without needing to bring a compressor and an air hose along into an already tight space.

That power doesn't come for free, though. You'll likely notice that you get much less material out of the tube per trigger travel cycle, requiring more pauses than normal as you release and re-squeeze. If you're shooting something that doesn't actually need that much pressure--like Big Stretch--you honestly might want to stick with a big box store cheapie.

It's not dripless, but releasing the pressure is much easier than on the cheapo guns. Just tap it with your thumb when you're approaching the end of your run and viola. Some sealants *will* continue to ooze out no matter what, but the ones that do are generally problematic in the truly dripless guns, too.

I think the only downside is the fact that you will have to watch it like a hawk, as anyone who tries it is going to want to walk off with it.

I am very pleased with this caulk gun. Provides great leverage (26:1) on the pistol grip handle which allows for great flow control of caulk, glue, etc. and my hand does not get tired when using for a long period of time. The pistol grip lever also is smooth and not jerky. It also holds the tube in securely so it doesn't force the tube out when the pressure gets high. The part of the gun that hold the tube rotates making it easier to control the position of the caulk tube tip.

This caulk gun is made to last many lifetimes of use.

we install between 15 to 25 windows per day, and use a butyle type caulk to seal interior and exterior of windows.and this type of caulk gun makes it almost effortless.
