Great vendor, crappy part.
It came quickly but the CD wouldn't read. So the vendor sent me the drivers. Still no joy. I searched and tried a dozen drivers. Nothing works. After reading many posts, it seems like a common problem. A replacement part seems to be the only solution. The vendor offered a replacement. It wasn't worth going to the PO to send it back. I found another that worked fine first time.

Haven't had any luck in using this usb/serial cable with my garmin etrex. Haven't been able to get help so just save your money. Tried both xp and vista computers.

Tried using this with my Garmin ETrex series GSP. Could not get it to work. Tried the drivers that came with the adapter, tried drivers from various online sites. Tried it on Windows ME, XP, and Vista. Did confirm that data was flowing using the old Hyperterminal, but I have no idea if it was transmitting useful information or gibberish. Regardless, it never worked for my intended purupose.
