"Politics in America" is a book on both House of Representatives and Senate. Because of the Congressional elections which occur every two years, Congress can change drastically every two years. Accordingly, ever since 1980, this book has been revised and republished every two years to remain up to date with all the changes wrought by the Congressional election held every tow years. This particular volume is the 2010 edition. Thus, the volume will contain all the information about the members of the United States House and Senate that were elected in 2008 abnd were serving in the years 2009 and 2010.

Contained in this particular volume are all the members of the House and Senate that were serving in Congress during the first two years of the Obama Administration. During this time, both the Senate and House contained Democratic majorities. This was the Congress that passed the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare). However, this book will not contain any information on Obamacare or the vote on the bill became known as Obamacare. This book was written before the Obamacare bill was even written or introduced. Thus the book should be used as a reference tool which provides the background that would build up to that vote.

I love the CQ series and this one was no different. It is a time capsule and a commentary on the world as it appears at the time. A must have for political minded individuals.
