this is a great tree stand! i had the exact number of correct parts to put it together. when the instructions say "3 people" to raise it up to the tree, believe them - this is a heavy stand. don't try to put it up by yourself. the only thing that is less than perfect about this stand is that after the first rain, a couple of spots have already shown up where rust is forming. Evidently the powder coat was damaged in shipping or something. this is a well-designed stand that feels safe when you are in it even with a second hunter. My wife and grandkids also love it.

I think the Big Game Sky Rise stand is an incredible bargain. It is safe, sturdy, and most importantly - nice and high!!!! Admittedly it takes 3-4 guys to raise - but I cannot imaging being any happier with a purchase I have made.

This is the second Skyrise stand that I have bought. I have many stands that I permanently placed on my property. The first two I tried was the Big Game Partner Plus, which is a good stand for gun hunting but not as tall as I would like for bow hunting. The skyrise is just the right height for bow hunting. I have had single rail ladder stands buckle. With the Skyrise's double rail it is impossible for it to buckle. The stand is very easy to assemble and I had no problems putting it up with just 1 friend. It did help that he is about 6 inches taller than me and we were able to walk it right up. One tip I would give is that it is better to have the base of the ladder too close to the tree rather than too far from the tree. It is easy to pull the base further out, but impossible to move it in closer to the tree when the stand is raised.

I love this deer stand, large seat, comfortable hunting space, securely mounts to the tree, what more could you ask for .... something easier to put up? We used a block and tackle and pulled this up with a pickup. If we had not been able to get in with a pickup I'm not sure three of us could have gotten this up. The weight is what makes it extra stable, the height adds to the weight but gives you a great view. We just will not be moving this stand anytime soon.
