This is NOT one of those cheap multi-LED array flashlights, now $1 at Dollar Tree. Dont get me wrong - those rock considering the value and light one gets from those. This CREE however, is amazing. Its a very large LED with incredible power and the zoom is great. Wide for large areas down to a pencil beam for long-range illumination. People at a recent ghost-hunting tour thought it was a laser!

I have 20 flashlights- this one is my favorite. It does require some thought - each time you half-press the power, the intensity toggles from bright-dim-flash. Took a while to sort that out.

Amazing value.

This light is one of the brightest I have seen among the low cost LED lights! It definitely pumps out the light. When I place it next to my 200 lumen light it is MUCH brighter. Furthermore, you can adjust the focus to create a very uniform wide angle spot of light, one of the best I have seen among the dozen or so LED lights that I have purchased over the last few months. I highly recommend this flashlight!!!!

For the size of this light and price, you cannot go wrong. It adjusts from spot to flood and puts out major light. True, when you zoom all the way in on spot, the beam is square-shaped(due to the shape of the LED), but all you need to do is back off just a bit to get the circle shaped beam. I have paid twice as much or more for lights that dont produce a fraction of the lumens this light does. It does only run for about 1.5 hours on high but because it only uses 3 AAA batteries, who cares? It has 3 modes(high, low, and strobe) and comes with a belt holster, you cant beat it, I already ordered 2 more.

It is very rare when you purchase a product, especially in this price range and actually get more than you expected, but with this light this is the case. I am a avid flashlight fan, I am constantly looking for bright, well made lights at a fair price and this light has far exceeded my expectations.
First of all, the adjustable beam works extremely well. Much better than the turning motion on a mag lite. The three modes also work real well however I only use the high mode. I compared this light to a 144 lumen coleman light and the 3 cell D led light from Mag lite. Up until using this light, the mag lite was awesome and I did not expect to find a brighter light in the same price range. This light is noticeably brighter than both, batteries last long. The only improvement I would recommend is the holster is pretty cheap.
The seller crazyconn is awesome to do business with, ships quickly and answers questions quickly. For under $20.00 pick this up and watch in amazement how bright this sucker is.

I bought this to keep it in my car. Only used it a few times. Tonight I needed it around dark to read a message board at the park, and when I went to use it, the lens fell out. being dark, I could not find the lens. I was surprised this would happen after about the fifth time I used it. It stayed in my car, and I have never dropped it. Would not recommend.

I thought of returning this light initially because I was disappointed at the light output thinking it would be significantly brighter than a Coleman 144 lumen flashlight. In short, the output seemed on the average, equivalent except the Coleman had a focused hotspot and slightly wider spill light compared to this unit on its widest zoom setting.

The flashlight projects a nice even beam of white light (in contrast, the Coleman looks yellowish). I wasn't bothered by the fact the flashlight images the LED in the shape of a keyhole when zoomed-in to its narrowest setting; all you have to do is pull back a little on the zoom and the light pattern becomes circular again albeit a slightly wider pattern with a little less intensity.

I decided to keep the unit after-all since at less than $13.00 including a carry case, and 3 lighting modes, and good brightness (although definitely not 240 lumens) it was a good value.

I was looking for an inexpensive flashlight that would be comparable to a Mag light my son owns. Based on the reviews, I chose this one. At half the cost of the Mag, it also out-shines it! I am getting ready to order two more, one of them will replace my son's Mag light. What a deal!

Update June 2012: This has become such a favorite in my household that I am ordering a few more. We are trashing all the other flashlights we own!

I bought this to mount on my bike for a cheap bike light for city riding at night and I think it's awesome. I paid like $12 with free shipping, which unfortunately does not appear to be the case now...kicking myself for not getting a second one.

It's bright, almost blindingly so at close range. Traffic seems to give me a wide berth. The flashing mode works great for my visibility and the full-use mode helps when there's no streetlights, with good lighting directly in front of me and some good spill to the side (when set at the widest setting). I can see how far it reaches when it reflects off distant stop signs. I've only used it for a few half-hour rides, so I can't report on battery life, originals still working.

I bought a Two Fish Flashlite Holder from Amazon but the flashlight fell off. After finding the light in the road, it was banged up really ugly, but disassembling it and reassembling it fixed that and it's working fine - tough little buggah! A better $3 handlebar mount from elsewhere solved that problem. Find one that can swivel side to side.

Someone mentioned this is the same as a Serfas hl-1.1 bike light Serfas CNC Headlight - 1 Watt. Cosmetically it looks the same, but mine has a Cree LED (supposedly 240 lumens) and that one a Luxeon rated at 100 Lumens (and supposedly much longer battery life). So mine is BRIGHTER, and MUCH CHEAPER if you find a cheap mount for it. I haven't had problems that others mentioned about bumps setting off switches or changing the focus setting...
