"Crescent and Dove, a groundbreaking book edited by Qamar-ul Huda, is a ‘must read’ for policymakers, scholars, and students of international affairs in a world that too often fails to distinguish between the acts of a tiny minority of extremists and the religion of Islam."
(John Esposito, Georgetown University)

This book was so exactly what my discussion group was looking for: complicated enough to maintain the interest of a Ph.D. student, but accessible enough for those of us without an advanced degree. Great and difficult conversation starters from the essays in this book. Genuinely new perspectives also.
