If you're thinking of buying this mattress and wonder which mattress pad and sheets fit, I've found that the American Baby Company waterproof crib pad (sold on Amazon for $[...]) fits great. As for sheets, I purchased Koala Baby portable crib sheets at Babies R Us (online; the store selection was pretty limited), and they also fit very well ($[...]). I was concerned that portable crib sheets might be designed for thinner mattresses, but luckily I was mistaken!

When deciding to purchase the DaVinci Emily Mini Crib - Oak, I knew from the reviews that we needed to purchase a mattress instead of relying on the thin pad included with the crib.

Naturally we chose a product by the crib maker to ensure a proper fit. And it was an excellent choice!

I'm going to disagree with other reviews and say that this mattress is appropriately firm for a baby. An excellent quality product, it easily fit into Davinci Emily mini-crib.

This is a product I would definitely recommend as an addition to any Davinici mini-crib purchase.

This mattress complements our mini crib so nicely. We were worried that our daughter would not be comfortable enough in her mini crib because of its size, but with this mattress she feels like she's sleeping in mommy or daddy's bed. It is THAT great. Super thick and firm with a little bounce. Very happy that we bought this instead of the standard mini crib mattress.

This mattress is the closest thing to a regular crib mattress you can find. It is thick but not too thick and will be so easy to clean. It fits my Davinci mini rocking crib perfectly. I have been desperately searching for sheets like so many people have written reviews about. It is not a reason to not buy this mattress! The american baby ones DO NOT fit tightly and are a hazard if you try to just "make do" with them. Same with the koala and all the others I have tired. I also have the American Baby mattress pad. It nearly fits but still makes me nervous because it slips up on the sides. I'd rather go without one. One reviewer wrote that you should go out and try a Gerber Knit Crib sheet for a standard crib, sold at B R U so I tried this. It shrunk to the perfect fit after 1 wash. At only $8.99 they're the best deal and SAFE.

I bought this mattress because my 2.5 month old would not sleep on the 1 or 2 inch mattress that comes with most bassinetts and mini/portable cribs. I use it with the million dollar baby annabelle mini crib. I am very happy with both the crib and the mattress but it took a long time to find the right sheet. I bought 3 different kinds that didn't fit including the koala care sheet other reviewers mentioned. It fit on the mattress but it was pulling on the edges. If it were to slip off it would probably lay on my baby's face. So if you get this mattress and you want a good safely fitting sheet that is also not paper thin get a gerber knit crib sheet (t-r-us $8.99)-the one for a standard size crib. It fits on great and doesn't slip off or get bunched up!

This mattress is not firm. I see no advantage to it over the 3" version. Also, when I received my Alpha Mini Rocking Crib, the instructions said not to use a mattress over 5" and this one is 6" - great....
We haven't used it yet, but it doesn't even compare to my first child's full size crib mattress - wish they had that quality for the mini crib.

I'm so glad I purchased this mattress instead of using the thin pad that came with my DaVinci mini crib. Highly recommended. I think the mattress could be a bit firmer, but it definitely beats using the 1-inch pad. Definitely worth paying a bit extra, especially if you use the mini crib as your everyday sleeping area for your baby as I do.

The mattress is actually great BUT do yourself a favor and buy a 3" one! The person who posted that the Koala Brand sheets fit this 5" mattress is completely WRONG!!! They don't fit at all, and I ended up spending the SAME price as the mattress just to get 2 sheets with a 5" depth from a babybedding dotcom.

I purchased this mattress to go in our DaVinci Emily Mini Crib. It Fits great.

Our baby was spoiled by our soft bed, would not sleep in bassinet, co sleeper, etc. But the mattress is so comfy that he sleeps great!
