4.0 out of 5 stars Good for what it is
If you are expecting a cd with strong lyrical content, then this is not what that is. If you want a cd that you can play almsot straight through and that will put you in a crunc, ready to hit the club or beat the $hit out of somebody mood then this is it. The beats are tight, strong basslines and the lyrics are simple and catchy. Its a definite pre-up for the club scene...

3.0 out of 5 stars Decent CD
I got this cd 4 my birthday and when i listened 2 it 4 the first time i liked it. Then it steadily got repetitive and finally i just stopped listenin to it all 2gether. It has its good songs and its bad songs. Knuck if you Buck is the best song on this cd.

My favs are:
-If You Got Ana: Basically a "crunc" song calling out anyone who has some ana, short for animosity.
-I'll Beat Yo Azz: Another crunc song, the title is self explanatory.
-F*** N*****: A catchy hook, albeit one you might not want to sing around your momma, and a nice beat. Definitely something to play when you see a person you dont like.
-Stilettos (Pumps): This one is for the girls. Princess and Diamond, along with Aisha establish that the ladies can swang them thangs in the club too... they just can do it in the Stilettos.
-Diggin Me: Is about the slowest song on the album and the closest to a love song these guys are gonna get to. The guys are pining over a girl who aint doin right by them

Overall, its a good cd and a definite addition to anyone who favors crunc music.

4.0 out of 5 stars Who the hell is this? Im-a have to check em out, September 16, 2004
This review is from: Crime Mob (Audio CD)
Thats what i said when i heard Knuck on the radio... i was like... what a minute... is that gang. boo? no no... was that three six? no.. who the hell?!?! the internet is a beautiful thing... found who it was... i actually copped the cd only hearing one song (which i do every now and then just for the hell of it). was surprised... i like it. the only problem is ALL OF IT is that style... i mean they went all out making sure every song had that crunk flav to it... pretty good tho... if you like that style or three six i think youll like this cd.

5.0 out of 5 stars The South Stays Crunk, August 5, 2004
By
This review is from: Crime Mob (Audio CD)
If you all about gettin' crunk and gettin' loose in the club or you just like music from the dirty south then this is the cd for you. From track 1 to track 12 the beats are bangin and so are the lyrics. This young group is very talented and not to mention the producers who put together this album. I've been in the club when their single came on and everybody just got crunk. Buy this and you definitely will get your money's worth.

1.0 out of 5 stars These dudes cannot be serious, November 14, 2005
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Crime Mob (Audio CD)
These kids can not be serious. First of all theyre repping Ellenwood, Ive been over in the Ellenwood area a couple of times and I must say its one of the most beutiful suburbs in Atlanta youle probably ever see, Its real quiet, and you might even mistake it for a white neighborhood, so all that gansta sh*t goes straight out of the window. Im not from where you you call the burbs so when I went over there it was the first time ive seen mansions, and it blew my mind. These kids are some rich perpetraitors. I guess they thought they could full out of towners, and try to make it seem like theyre on some real street sh*t, but now you know. They are on some real Cb4, Malibues most wanted type sh*t. So next time they come to your town you have my permission to slap the sh*t out of these lames, please do it for me. getting into the album the production was garbage, lyrics wack as expected. Its sounds like they stole some old Memphis style of rap like Tommy Wrights and butchered it. They are a disgrace to the southern rap scene. Im sure this is there first and last album.

Notes: Very grimy poor-boy approach to the "crunk rap" style popularized by Lil Jon (no clear affiliation). Its strength is in the dark beats and the high-paced reckless vocal approach, but its weakness is in the low budget inconsistent engineering, and monotonous chorus lyrics. I bet a lot of clubs are scared to book them.

4.0 out of 5 stars Crime Mob effectively put it down!, September 25, 2004
This review is from: Crime Mob (Audio CD)
"Bump Dat Ish Dat You Talkin!" starts this incredibly energetic crunk group outta Ellenwood Georgia. Consisting of six members: Diamond, Lil Jay, Princess, Killa C, MIG, & Psycho Blak.

Diamond is arguably the crunkest out the group (come in the club shakin my dreads) has a nice lil flow and can ride the track but her style is raw and needs more polish.

Princess sounds like Gangsta Boo in her heyday and since Gangsta Boo hasn't really been droppin a lot of material lately she can step in be a good replacement. She is tight too.

Lil Jay is the beatmaker and his joints be straight up heat. Beats with energy and crunkness without being repetitive...a nice alternative to Lil Jon. He also raps but he is better at production.

Those are pretty much the breadmakers in the group but Killa C, Phyco Blak and MIG can all get down on the mic and get crunk but it's hard to distinguish one from the other. This collective from A-Town remind me a lot of Three Six Mafia and how they used to bring it. They are very aggressive in flow and lyrics and their beats are aggressive as well. So if you liked the Mafia then you should also enjoy Crime Mob. Songs to look out for!

1. Knuck If You Buck
2. I'll Beat Yo Azz
3. If You Got Ana
4. Ellenwood Area
5. Aint No Joke
6. If you Gon Try Me

5.0 out of 5 stars This Group Really Has Done It.., November 16, 2004
By
6sixty nine9 (Detroit, Michigan) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Crime Mob (Audio CD)
These six Members are indestructable. First off.. Princess and Diamond are remarkable considering Diamond is 18 and Princess is 17. If you base your opinion on there solo song 'Stillettos' than it ain't right. A Song to get from them is 'Ghetto Misses'. The beat is straight.. But definatley Diamond at her best. At some times it seems Princess and Diamond work off each other. Princess sounds like a early Gangsta Boo.. And Diamond raps like La Chat in her HCP days.

The rest of the group is crunk aswell. I seen them perform already (which it was packed at Northland here in Detroit) And the girls all went crazy over Killa C. And everyone went crazy when Diamond spat her line (I come in the club Shakin my dreads).. Diamond and Princess performed Ghetto misses on request.. And when Diamond hit her line (I'ma Criminal this gone get personal, I got my arsenol packin that gat) the crowd went litterally went nuts. Though alot of people I kno from ATL said they're over played down there. But there cd is a must have.. Crunkest songs:

1) Ain't No Joke
2) Nuck if You Buck
3) Put Yo Hands Up
4) Black Market Bonus
5) B I T C H

I think the reason there overspoken by most people.. is cuz they sound good as a group.. Rather then just Lil Jay, Killa C, MIG and Psycho Blak. Since they all have that deep voice and southern slang.. Can't wait for there next one..
