I bought this album more than 20 years ago on a whim and I never regretted it. This is Scottish music as it should be - strong vocals with traditional stories to tell.

early Dougie MacLean with his Scottish fiddle,

Most of MacLean's later work is his own brilliant compositions and guitar work. This has him in a different environment with two other capable musicians doing traditional arrangements.
