Style and quality, October 31, 2002
This review is from: CROSLEY CR32 - 1932 Cathedral Style Radio (Electronics)
What a wonderful product. Giving the feel and look of the good old days. But with the sound quality of today. It becomes the center focus of any room I put it in. The reception is remarkable. I looked at other "old style" re-makes that could be as much as $300.00 that didn't have the same quality and detail as this radio.
Could not be more pleased.

Today's Review: Rock, Roll, and Remember, March 4, 2008
Hey everyone, it's me! I'm here to review the products and give you my Scrutinizing opinion! Consumer products beware, MWAHAHA!
Do you remember when Rock was young? Me and Suzie had so much fun. But that's all in the past now. A couple weeks ago I was lying around my room in a pile of empty Dorito's bags when I decided I'd take a walk down memory lane and listen to a bunch of the old tunes, but to do that I'd need an old radio...Amazon to the rescue! Now the best item I could find was this Crosley Antique replica radio, and yeah, it looks more like the 30s or 40s than the 50s, but it was the closest thing I could find.
It arrived quickly and well packaged, no foul there, but the only problem, and this is a biggie, was it played only contemporary music! I think it picked up one station that played Bebop, Boogie, and Jazz. What's the point? Yeah, I'm going to Listen to Jay-Z, Hannah Montannah, and My Chemical Romance on an antique radio. Just doesn't make sense.
The only thing antique about this radio is the fact that it uses cassettes instead of CDS! Yeah, it takes tapes. They didn't even have tapes in the 50s, let alone the 30s/40s! But I already invested so much money in this radio that I had to go on. I'm going to listen to some real Rock n' Roll on this baby!
So I found some old cassette tapes of some 50s music, popped them in and prepared to be taken back in time. They actually sounded good on this thing and before I knew it I was reeling, and jiving, and bopping! I was dancing so furiously, scattering Dorito's bags all over the place, when my back went out! I just collapsed! The worst part was my Medic-alert necklace had flown off when I was dancing and was just out of reach!
This radio didn't bring back any fond memories, just gave me a whole bunch of new bad ones!

Good product, bad shipping, January 11, 2007
I ordered this item as a Christmas gift for my daughter. It was the one 'surprise' I was feeling good about seeing her open on Christmas eve. The item arrived, my daughter was visiting, and she answered the door to receive the package. Imagine our surprise when we both immediately saw that they had shipped the package in its original box. So...unless you were unable to see clearly, there was the radio in its box describing it in full. Surprise - gone. So, I emailed the company, they said they were sorry, and sent me a $5 gift certificate to use. The radio was just what I wanted, but I won't be ordering from them again because of their shipping practice of apparently using the original box (which also doesn't provide much protection against shipping damage).
