This monitor will blow your mind. Two cons are N# 1- It has only one dual link DVI connector and provided cable for it, N# 2- the portrait mode is not perfectly a 90 degree angle you really have to push it for it to stay that way. But if you are like me and want the best looking monitor in the highest possible resolution available 2550 x 1440p at 27"
ultra HD with no temper glass, and at a great price, then this is the perfect monitor for you. got some 4 stuck pixels but the only way to notice them was to run a app call pixel budy, setting multiple color run setup and to be totally honest i hate stuck or burn pixels
but this monitor has such high pixel density that you really can't notice those pixels unless you really look for them in a program to find them, because literally they become invisible once you are staring at the screen. and i have lessens providing me 20/20 vision.

I work in 3D modelling, Computer Animation, illustration, movie editing and VFX's industry using programs such as Maya, Photoshop cs5, After Effects, 3D's max, Corel Painter, Autodesk Sketch book pro.
and this monitor after color calibration will run all with accuracy and full color reproduction.

Best monitor I 've ever own. and I am coming from using mac monitors and Dell ultra sharp series.
I highly recommended to anyone that need a great monitor but doesn't want to spent $999

My monitor arrived faster than expected, contained no dead pixels, and has sharper viewing than any previous monitor I've used. (This includes several $1300+ 2560x1600 monitors.) You cannot beat the price.

But, ...

On occasion, when my Win8 desktop goes to sleep, the monitor will go blank and remain blank. This is after rebooting my computer several times. In fact, I was just about to box it up and return it. But, I tried it one more time: My only fix is to put a 2nd monitor on the video card and re-add the crossover via multiple monitors. It looks like I'm forced to always have a 2nd monitor on this computer. Lucky for me I have a big desk and plenty of spare monitors around.

4/28 update:

I believe the problem with my monitor is that it overheats when left plugged in when the (desktop) Win8 computer goes into sleep mode. I now have the monitor & all peripherals on a power strip and tell the computer never to sleep. I haven't had a problem in over a month when turning off the power to the monitor when leaving the room.

This monitor was Fantastic for about a week, and then it died. trying to return it was a nightmare. I took many pictures, and told the company that I tried it in both GPU ports, a different GPU, and even a completely different computer. They responded by asking me if I tried plugging it into a different port on my GPU, and then demanded that I record a video of it messing up, and post it on youtube for them to see. They then wanted to send me a replacement board for the monitor and have me repair it myself.

After filing a claim with Amazon, they FINALLY seemed willing to work with me, and I eventually returned it to them.

TL;DR You get what you pay for. If you want a good 1440p monitor, go with ASUS.

This is beautiful. Just fired it up a few minutes ago. Incredible! For the price, this cannot be beat. I do recommend the Kanex iAdapt C30 MDPC30 Mini DisplayPort to DVI Adapter + USB for Apple Cinema 30-Inch Display. You have to separately purchase the Mini DisplayPort (now Thunderbolt port) to DUAL LINK DVI adapter - not cheap ($80) but from what I read, the Kanex is the most reliable (read some horror stories of people using the Apple branded adapter). Instructions in the box in Korean - but not really necessary — hook up the Mini DisplayPort to DVI adapter, the supplied DVI cable that comes with the monitor, the power and boot up — that's all that it took. This monitor also has height adjustment and you can rotate the screen 90 degrees - in the Display section of System preferences, it shows an option for rotation (90°, 180°, 270° and standard). Mine is attached to a mid 2011 iMac Mini, which has a discrete graphics card (AMD Radion HD 6630) - you will want a Mac with a discrete graphics card (recent vintage) for best results. Product came fairly quickly, so don't fret if it is being shipped from Korea.

I have a mid-2010 iMac 27" with a ATI Radeon HD 5750 1024 MB. This display works perfectly as a second monitor (vertical) to my iMac, and I couldn't be happier! I was concerned at first when the $30 adapter (not an active adapter) that I purchased at Radio Shack didn't work. I then purchased the Apple Mini-DisplayPort to Dual LInk DVI adapter ($100) on Amazon.com. Apparently it needs the USB power in order to work properly. I plugged it in and viola!! BEAUTIFUL screen!!! My system recognized the new screen immediately, and I used the Apple calibration tool to match it to my iMac. It worked perfectly. Thank you for the great screen!!

Brightness range is limited to extremely bright down to regular brightness. There is no going to lower brightness levels.
There is no contrast adjustment.

The front bezel is made of metal and the paint job is not smooth, it has the "orange peel" texture to it.

The back is also metal and white.

The stand is strong and has all the adjustments expected from a good base. Height, tilt, rotation and pivot. Although when turned to portrait it will not turn perfect 90 degrees, it is more like 89 degrees.

Only DVI in.

Nice glossy screen.

The very bottom left corner seems to have a darker haze, but it's only noticeable and difficult to detect in white screens. No other technical issues detected.

The image quality is great.
