Just about everything about this monitor has already been said here, so I'll keep it with my own thoughts. I'll start out with some minor critiques not mentioned:

First, when you take it out of the box, it looks like an edge-to-edge display with full acrylic "glass" except for the bottom bezel, making it look bigger than the display really is. Fire it up and it has about a 1-1/6" inlay display on both edges and at the top, meaning you are not getting edge-to edge. The bottom part of the display is full at the base of the bezel. So this would not be a good monitor for a 3-display setup. Way too much "fat."

Second, I received mine with no AC adapter for the US. The external adapter has the three-prong connecter input, but the input they gave me (that goes from the adapter box to the wall) had a two-prong Euro/Asia connector. Fortunately I have many of those connectors laying around from older LCD monitors and it wasn't an issue. Just something to thing about.

Now for the good stuff:

Absolutely zero dead pixels. The first thing I did when firing it up was run a dead pixel test. None! And this was one not sold as "picture perfect." I also did the smell test, to see if it had that new plastic smell, a very strong one, as did the cables that came with it (dual DVI is my monitor). No old stock here sitting in a Korean warehouse for a year. This thing was manufactured very recently (no date of manufacture stamp on the back where the serial number is like most monitors).

Other thoughts:

I had tried an ASUS and LG 27" 1440p that cost hundreds more. The ASUS had five dead pixels smack in the middle 20% of real estate (a $550 monitor) and the LG had light bleed (a $700 monitor).

I ordered this monitor yesterday, which was fulfilled by Amazon and sold by BizBuy. I have to say, I am really impressed. This was the first time I delved into the Korean monitor spectrum.

The box arrived in good fashion. It was actually covered in Styrofoam like wrap, and was well protected. After taking off the wrap, the box was marked with "No Dead Pixels" stickers, which was a relief. Dead pixels were one of my fears, but it seems they pre-screen the monitors to check for this. When I did open the box, I immediately plugged it in and tested it. There were/are in fact no dead pixels. The monitor was pristine. After setting the monitor up, I played a few games of Battlefield 4, and the monitor seemed even more impressive than first thought.

Aesthetically, the monitor is super thin. It does however have an external power connector "box", which converts the plug on the back to a standard US plug. This was no problem for me, I just used double sided tape and placed it on the back of the monitor (I mount my monitor on the wall). One thing that is also worth noting as well, if you're planning to use an external mount for this monitor, to remove the original monitor mount stem, you have to remove the back of the monitor. This was no big deal, and it took me only about 2 minutes to do. Just be careful once you remove all the screws, as the ports on the back of the monitor are connected to the actual panel via a ribbon wire on the inside.

Overall, I cannot seem to find a negative with this monitor this far. For the price, the resolution, and the performance it is near unbeatable. I am actually considering purchasing a second Crossover to replace my other monitor..

This monitor looks great in daylight. Mine came with a dead pixel right in the middle. It's not a big deal if there's anything with detail displayed on the screen, but whenever there's a sheer color displayed, it glares at me, laughing.

In darkness, there is some backlight bleed. Turning down the backlight helps a bit, but only so much.

The biggest problem with this monitor is the low quality power supply. If you do audio production and have audio equipment, this will bother you to no end. it makes buzzing noise, and whining noise. The noise responds to the backlight brightness setting of this monitor as well. I spent a whole day trouble shooting, plugging in and out of things, etc, etc. Turns out there's some sort of ground loop created right in the electronics of the monitor, and then that noise transfers over to the computer over DVI, and can go to your audio interface over firewire, then to your speakers. While clearly, such noise shouldn't be passing through at either of these stages, the most obvious fix is to get rid of it at the source: This Crossover monitor's cheap power supply.

The quickest and easiest fix is to remove the ground(This monitor is all plastic so no need for a ground). The best fix is to get a cleaner power supply - but I can't verify 100% that that would solve the problem.

Also they confusingly write in the description of this monitor that it doesn't work with MacBooks, but this isn't entirely true. If you have a pre-unibody macbook pro, (mine is a 17" 2008), it has a dual link dvi built in as the only video connector - perfect for this version of this monitor which comes only with DVI.
