I've been using a 2.5" SharpStone grinder, and this beats it hands down, with a much nicer feel, 24 grinding "nubs" to SharpStone's 12, and also no tight lid leaving aluminum residue around the outer edges after grinding.

Another review gave this only 3 stars, saying that it has a weak magnet, however it works just fine: turn the grinder upside-down and the lid doesn't fall off, even with a bit of shaking. What more does one need?

Also, someone noted that this model's kief screen is too fine to be effective. While it does look that way, I'm finding that it is equal in "production" to the SharpStone.

One complaint that I have with both products is that they require too many turns to tighten the parts together; surely these could have been machined so that a single twist would do the trick, eliminating the need for a fine touch in order to get the pieces together without stripping the threads.

I bought this a bit ago thinking that the price is right, but perhaps the quality was going to be on the lacking side. I was wrong! This is a supreme deal for a grinder, since the unit has ALL the features of a nicer much more expensive unit. First, the material it is made of is not just a light aluminum, but it is a heavier alloy that just gives it a nice feel. The grinding action is perfect for creating perfectly smokable or vaporizer ready material, and with the nice built in screen you don't have to worry about losing your precious 'fine material'. The top is magnetic too, and the thing even came with a case! Comparable to a $80 unit in shops, I would highly reccommend this grinder!

This thing is excellent, yet people are crying about it? I do not understand...

The reality of the matter is:

Extremely sturdy construction, nice and SOLID with a bit of weight to it. I don't know about anyone else but when I buy metal stuff, I want some weight. I don't know why this matters to me... Regardless, it's solid.

It grinds perfectly, no "big chunks" left behind as one user commented. Not sure if they're doing it wrong or what but I have not had a single problem with the grind quality.

As for the room this thing contains -- another complaint by more than one user -- how much room do you need? I mean, unless you are lung cancer waiting to happen, there is plenty of room for the grinder to pack one, maybe two fairly large pipes in a single grind. Don't be lazy and do a second grind if you have to. Who stashes their herb in their grinder, anyhow?

Anyway, great product, I love it, looks sweet, and you can get the crusher in different colors! Not through this product thread, but others! Go look! I wish I had gotten a red one, but this one is awesome, too.

Okay we know what this is for. grinding that fine "tobacco". This thing is great, it's razor sharp and has a great keef collector. If you're in the market for a grinder this is the best deal and product hangs down.

This grinder really is a crusher. Its teeth are mean, sharp and rip through your nug quick, usually within 5 or so twists its all ground up. It looks sharp, and is durable. Though there are two downfalls, the screen is very tight not allowing for much keef to fall through. In addition the screen is set rather high in its chamber so you have to be careful and hold it straight up when unscrewing it in order not to loose your bud. Its clearly worth the money but the screen sucks.

this grinder is everything you need to look for in a grinder. The only problem is that if you twist the caps too far, it'll loosen the grooves that hold it together and it won't hold. Just be careful how tight you close it. other than that, excellent

I am not a review-er type, but I really wanted to let people know how wonderful this item is. First, it is a joy to look at, and I really mean look at: this is a beautifuly made item, and little details, like the radius in the lid of the grinder compartment, or the included carry bag, are things I can see myself really coming to appreciate. It is a really great size, but not as heavy as I expected it to be, yet somehow feel more expensive because of it. To be honest, looking at it I kept thinking about exotic German cars. In short, it feels solid and precise, while looking impressive and understated.

I don't think the drop compartment is too small as some others have discussed, but the pollen screen is very fine, and I am not sure how much will sift through. On the flip, not much will sift up (like in transit), either, keeping the precious safe. As a bonus, the screen feels tight as a drum, which is where I have had other grinders fail.

Only gripes are some VERY minor cosmetic defects on inner surfaces and that I would have preferred the magnet to attach the lid protrude up from the body (when assembled) than down from the lid, but these are VERY minor nitpicks on a grinder I would expect to see for $50-70, retail, plus $10 for the pouch.

This is a phenomenal product, not just for the price. I would buy again, but I doubt I will have too!

This is a top of the line grinder. It is nice, solid and heavy. Its grinds the tobacco very fine, even if its a little moist, and sifts out the super strong tobacco particles in the bottom tray well.

This Product is exactly what I was looking for. It is very good quality and has a nice weight to it. Its sharp teeth crush through everything.
