Purchased this tape to extend the life of my Microsoft Sidewinder Mouse (5 button USB) mouse. The tape works great! It allows the mouse to slide as it did when I first purchased it. Worked so well I also use it for my mouse at work. With as long as this tape lasts (at least for me) this is probably a lifetime supply unless I find other uses for it.

Pros
-Fixed my sidewinder mouse. Slides easily like it did when new.
-Tape is very adhesive to other surfaces. I was afraid that it would pull off or snag. It has not once.
-Very easy to install.
-Cheap easy solution to prolong the life of your mouse.

Cons
-This size tape didn't cover my mouse feet exactly. The wider tape would work better I think as this tape does not stick to itself so you can't just cut another piece and over lap it.

Not really a con but just so you know what to expect - this tape is THIN! It does not add any thickness to the surface. So you can not 'add' other points of contact or raise your mouse feet if other parts of the mouse are dragging. It is best used on top of the original mouse feet as on some mice if you remove the original pads it will allow other parts of the mouse to touch.

I bought this to use on the bottom of drawers to reduce the friction when sliding them in and out and it works great.

I used this to cover the skids on a Magic Mouse to use with the SteelSeries Experience glass mouse pad. Without the tape, the mouse scraped very loudly and uncomfortably; with the tape, it glides beautifully and more quietly (though still not silent, but I was expecting some sound to remain). The tape thickness seems perfect, and is easy to work with. It is firm enough that it doesn't bunch up when you are applying it, and it stays put quite well. Highly recommended.

You get pretty much a lifetime supply of tape here. It is very adhesive so it will not peel off, yet somehow does not stick to its own surface (the teflon side). Teflon feels very smooth and is noticeably slicker than even top brand mouse feet. Great item. I only wish I had ordered the wider 1" tape because this can be a little bit tough to fit cleanly over some larger mousefeet. Better to go too wide and have to cut it than too thin. I would buy the wider tape from this same manufacturer, I am pretty sure it is the same material.

I want to counter the review saying this is too thin. Many mice are very sensitive about the distance the sensor is from the pad. I put pieces of duct tape over my mouse feet and just the thickness of the tape made the mouse non-functional on any surface. This tape is thin enough to do it's job without interfering with the tracking of my mouse or any mouse.

It works well too. good and slippery on one side, good and sticky on the other. When putting it on your mouse it's good to oversize it a little. It will stick better to the plastic near the mouse feet than to the feet themselves because the feet are meant to be low-friction, things like this tape wont adhere to them well. This tape really isn't going to stick to itself either because it's super low-friction, so don't overlap pieces.

If you have an Icemat/steelseries experience mouse pad, this is a great alternative to the pricey padsurfers/glides that need to be used with those pads. These do an equally good job on my Icemat.

I recently purchased a used Microsoft Wheel Mouse Optical (great mouse btw) but the mouse feet were a little scratched and thus dragging a bit more than I like. I bought this mouse tape and cut little pieces for each pad. Now my mouse feels brand new and glides smooth as butter! Actually, its probably better than brand new since the teflon moves on the surface with much less resistance than the original plastic feet. Just be aware that this tape might not be the best solution for mice with larger feet/pads since the tape is only .5" wide and overlapping the tape to compensate may not work so well.

I bought this CS Hyde PTFE tape because I was concerned about the wear on my MX 1100 mouse's feet. Thing is, I LOVE this mouse, it's the best one I've ever had and I want to make sure I can keep using it for many years. The problem was that the "control" side of my reversible Razer metal mouse pad was causing too much wear on the mouse feet. Hence my purchase of this PTFE (same thing as Teflon) tape to go over the mouse feet. After reading the documentation for this tape and for CS Hyde's PTFE mouse pad, I decided to buy both products. I am very glad that I did; I think these two things together are the perfect solution for mouse feet wearing down AND for mouse pads wearing out. The "speed" side of my Razer pad had become so worn from friction with my former mouse's feet that it no longer had that nice slippery coating and was not useful any more.

I have found that this size of tape is perfect for my MX 1100 mouse's feet. The idea is to cut it a bit longer than the feet themselves, and then smooth the ends of the tape over the plastic and rubberized sides of the mouse. Works just beautifully. The roll of tape is 5 yards or 180 inches long; since it takes about 4 inches of tape to cover the mouse feet completely, there is enough tape to cover the mouse feet 45 times. That should be enough to last for years to come.

Then I cut the 16" x 16" CS Hyde PTFE mouse pad into four 8" x 8" pieces and placed one of those on the worn-out "speed" side of the Razer. The reverse side of the CS Hyde pad has a tacky, sticky feel to it and grips the Razer nicely. The end result is that once again my beloved MX 1100 glides effortlessly along. The mouse pad is made of very thin material, nearly as thin as the tape itself.
