I bought these because I wanted to try out positional sound in a headset. I should have went with a more expensive set, as these have turned me off for a while. I was excited to try these babies out when they arrived. Nothing but problems.

First, I have a size 7 head (according to most fitted ballcap) and these felt very tight. I was willing to give them a shot though, maybe they just need to get broke in.

Second, I run Vista OS. (You may better luck with xp) I could not get these to run 3d sound in any app. After working with edimensional tech support, they said that they are working on a driver update. I could either wait for the update or return the product.

Third, I was impressed with the force feedback. It really enhances the listening experience. Although if you turn it off, there is hardley no bass. It appears they rely on the force feedback, which is deffinately not an issue.

Forth, The microphone picks up a lot of ambient noise (such as a tv in the background, or other people talking.

Finally, I wouldn't recommend this product to many people. The force feedback is awesome, but everything else sucks. The edimensional tech support is friendly and helpful.

These headsets are great. Look sharp and have great sound.

Not sure why anyone would not like them. I got them since I was being harrased in the MMO's that I play to get on "vent". Although, they are great to watch movies and game as well. Well worth the money.

UPDATE 08/21/2009

As of now, I have bought two of these headsets. The first pair cracked and broke on one of the arms. I figured it was my fault. So I purchased another. They broke in the exact same spot!!! So I contact support and they were eager to help me but they wanted me to send them back in so they can repair them?? Repair them? They even wanted me to pay for the shipping back and forth! I showed them my review here and both of my receipts from both purchases and it changed nothing.

DO NOT ORDER THIS PRODUCT!

It is clear to me it is a cheap design and they will not offer any reasonable customer service to resolve any issues.

The sound is muddied and dull. Force feedback is like a hammer slapping you in the head. I thought I might have a bad headset so I emailed eDimensional on the support site with my observations and got no response. I own several other headphones to compare (Sennheiser PC150, 580 and 650, Razer Carcharias, and Shure SRH840) so I feel confident that I know what to expect from PC audio.

These were pretty good right out of the box. Have used them both on my old PC with Win XP and on my new one with Win 7 64bit. Worked great on both with no problems at all. Sound is great especially turned all the way up while gaming...mike worked fine too. Comfort was OK and they quickly got broken in. Have had them for about 6 or 7 months and was loving them...right up until they broke. The left earpiece anchor broke from the headband. They still sound great but I had to use duct tape to keep them together. Now they are uncomfortable to wear. Some great potential here if they were a little more durable. I have a regular size head but I think they are more suitable for smaller sized melons. I agree with previous reviewers who have stated that they are cheaply built...but I guess for the money they'll do if they last. Now I'm torn between going for another set and being a little more careful when I place them on my head and when I remove them, or going for the more expensive ones and taking my chances with a new product. The devil you know...or the one you don't!

I was really excited when I first got this headset. They look awesome, thanks to ben heck, the sound quality is nice, and they have some cool features like the force-feedback. All in all, a very attractive package but after I few rocky months with the unit it crapped out on me.

This set of headphones aren't bad, by any means, but they just aren't worth the asking price. First off, the sound quality is really good for stereo sound. When listening with these the sound can take on a larger feel, like you are in a big room. In some ways this makes the sound a bit hallow, but some people might like that. With the force-feedback on you will feel bass like you've never felt before. In fact, the force-feedback is almost too strong and I can rarely put it on full-force. The volume is the same way. There is no analog dial, only digital buttons for +/- volume. The problem is that there are only really 3 settings: "Mute", "Blasting", and "Are You Deaf?". I'm not kidding. I have to set it to the first volume (lowest) and adjust it via the driver, just so I don't blow out my ears! As a side-note, if you are in fact partially deaf, these might be the headphones for you. The vibration on the bass is really leaps and bounds heavier than any headphones I've ever tried.

The first thing that started to bother me was how tight the headphones are. They press on your ears a lot and, while they are big and padded, they don't have enough clearance on the inside to cup your ears properly. Especially if you wear glasses, this can be annoying as they are really tight. Also, I have a small head and ears, so this might be even worse if you're a big guy. After an hour or so the headphones will give me a headache or something due to the pressure.
