Great book for the Avid Fan,
By Sarah (Texas, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: CSI: Crime Scene Investigation: The Insider's Guide to the TV Phenomenon (Paperback)
I got this book for my birthday and it is a great book for any fan of CSI to read. They go in depth about several episodes and the background of the characters and actors. It's the only behind the scenes book of CSI that I've read that also talks about and with the minor characters AKA the lab rats. I was very pleased about that as those are some of my favorite characters. Also unlike other behind the scenes books, it actually goes up to the current season (in this case it was published during the 10th season and the book reflects that), which was something else I was very pleased with.
Most interviews are nothing special and in fact have been published before in the CSI magazine. A few are new to the book but not many. However, if you're like me and can't afford to buy the magazine but would like the interviews, this is a good way to get a lot of them at once. As for other articles, they go into Grissom's apartment, talk about the science of CSI, the special effects, a scrap book with set photos, a tribute to Warrick and a beginning look at season 10. The only thing I was not happy with the binding. It came loose not long after getting it and the front pages are loose now, too. Other then that, it is a great book and one I think an avid fan of CSI should have. |
