I like to watch CSI which is what sucked me into to start playing. I've actually owned the first two games for the computer and when Hard Evidence came out for the Wii i was all over it.

There are some major pros to having it on Wii rather than PC. It's more interactive pointing and clicking and using your PDA and changing locations and finding bugs. Not only that i can sit on the comfort of my own couch instead of at the computer.

If you have played on PC before than you know they try to relate some of the cases to each other as you progress. Which they have done this time. I want to say you solve something like 6 cases, all of which take more and more time to solve it seems. Each case has taken anywhere from 2-4 hours (assuming you don't skip anything and watch all the videos and extras). I don't want to give away what the cases are, but as you go along in the cases you recieve more locations to travel to, and more evidence to process. Some analysis tools you don't even use until a couple cases in.

You can turn on what i like to refer to as the "cheat" mode which allows you to see if you have done everything you can with your evidence, or you can turn it off so it makes the game more challenging.

Pros:

-Very interactive

-They show the videos like they do in the series

-You work with the entire team of CSI

-The bonus extras

-Mind challenging, gets the wheels turning

-Overall it's just a fun game, my girlfriend doesn't really like to play video games much, but this is one of the few we play together

-It only takes the Wiimote to control, no nunchuck

Cons:

This actually is a rather large con. I think they put so much graphics into one disc for such a whimpy (space and capability wise) system it causes the game to freeze.

It was in the first case and it went to load and then nothing happened. Just sat there frozen with the loading screen. You can tell it's trying to catch up with it's self sometimes because it starts to repeat the words that are comming out until the video catches up.

As of now it has only happened once (the freezing) but the lag in the video/sound happens multiple times per case. Not enough to miss any important information, but enough to just kind of make you stop for a second and hope that it won't freeze up on you again. Thats the reason it got an overall rating of only 3.

I had high hopes for this game, and was pretty much disappointed. The cases were interesting, but the games took so long to load that I got bored and frustrated quickly. The product placements got really old too.

The graphics were not up to current game standards. I gave this game a 3 star because the cases were interesting and challenging. The game just needs a bit more refinement.

I really enjoyed the CSI game for Wii. The cases were clever and challenging enough to be interesting. My biggest complaint however is the time taken to play. There were 5 cases, each took me 60-90 minutes to solve. I understand a lot of information goes into each case and you can only fit so much on a disc, but for $50 I would have liked to get more play-time out of it. That and the bonus items you get for doing well on a case are pretty 'eh'. Once you know the type of bonus you get it really doesn't provide much motivation to re=play the case and try to do better.

The interface is very similar to PC games I've played... you move the cursor to where you want to go, if it turns into an arrow, you can go there. I found this a bit restrictive compared to the other Wii games I've played, but once I got used to it, navigation became easy.

Definitely a good purchase. I will definitely be buying the next installment if there is one, but hope that there will be improvements made.

I love to watch CSI. I have seen all 7 seasons and I am enjoying the 8th season now. I found this game very fun and filled with detail. The only thing I wish they would have done was make more cases. I was kind of disappointed that there were only 5 cases. Other than that, I feel this game was a good investment.

I'm a fan of the show, of science, and not a big gamer at all, so this seemed like a perfect game for me. However, it was disappointing, especially considering how good it could have been.

My biggest complaint is how slow-paced the whole game is. It takes forever to load and save and the actual games take forever to do because you have to go from one scene to another ad nauseam.

Also:

-music got repetitive and annoying

-Catherine's voice! argh!

-there are still some glitches in the program, where it freezes, or repeats, or you can only click on a piece of evidence from a certain angle, even though you can see it from a different angle

-several of the character's faces and even houses look alike - lazy

-the "bonuses" are a complete let-down

I do hope they learn from their mistakes and make an improved CSI Wii game, because I would love to play it.

The last CSI game I played was on the PC - CSI: Three Dimensions of Murder. That was a very good game, engrossing and varied in it's cases. It also had very good game play, which never got in the way and added to the fun. Based on my previous experience, I got this game for my Wii, hoping to have another fun experience. I was *bitterly* disappointed.

They have basically made a rather clunky port of the PC game. The graphics are essentially similar to the last game. which look very dated three years on. They have kept the interface exactly the same as the PC game without bothering to update it or create something that uses the Wii's capabilities. It doesn't translate well to the Wii and is difficult to navigate which ends up detracting from the fun. Add to this, there's numerous visual and gameplay glitches. Have I mentioned how cheap this whole game feels?

Unless you are a hard core CSI fan and *must* play every game with CSI plastered on it, avoid this game. And if you must play it, try the PC version, it might offer better game play. And if you must play it on the Wii, rent it before you throw away any money on it.

Hello, i only have the wii and i'm not an avid gamer.

I like CSI the original show so i bought this game soley because of that. Overall, and i've yet to finish the first case, i like the game. It's definitly, not a hard game, the case is pretty much pre-determined. You basically just make sure to find the things and do the right things with them. It's a no-brainer game...but..it's like the show. It's basically like watching the show and being able to interact with it. Which is basically all i was expecting to do and find with the game- so i liked it.

sum up: if your looking for an interactive version of CSI then you'll like the game, i did.

I enjoyed this game more than i thought i would. I had one of the pc CSI games and I enjoyed this one better. Much more comfortable and easier playing it on the wii. Unlike other reviewers, I have had no problems or glitches with the game and it has never froze up. Its an entertaining way to pass the time. However i don't really think kids and teens would enjoy it as much as some of the action games because its slow moving with searching for clues etc. But if you enjoy sleuthing then its a fun time!

The game is good. Much better than most my teenage son plays. It keeps him interested. Whole family can get involved to solve cases. Does limit interactive ability typical with Wii. Overall recommended!

I'm not a gamer so I like games that aren't too awfully complex control wise. This game is easy to play and loads of fun! I love having to use my brain to figure out the clues. I am enjoying it so much, I'm procrastinating playing the last game because I don't want it to be over! LOL! I do agree that the bonus material leaves quite a bit to be desired and does not inspire you to play through the games again. Still, I truly hope they come out with another installment as I'd buy it immediately.
