This automatic leveling package is all you need for any project, whether it be at home or at a job site. The 26x magnification gives you clear long range viewing of the rod. The 1/8th rod readings make this package more for home projects because it makes it easy to convert to conventional tape measure style readings. This level seems well built and the provided carrying case is very nice as well. The tripod is light duty but very sturdy. I would definitely recommend this product for any home builder or contractor. Again, the rod is incremented in 1/8ths as the description forgets to mention.

I was happy to finally settle on this item directly from Amazon. The first one came in damaged and I had to send it back. The next one was fine and the exchange was fairly simple. I was easier that trying to return a similar item to a local home improvement store.

I need to know if this instrument can be used as theodolite, or is there any that can perform both functions at a time?
