I purchaced this laser to help me build post and beam barns. So far it has worked flawlessly. The only complaint I have is I needed to use the laser in the horizontal position so the beam runs vertical and the kit did not have the vmount bracket included. Furthermore amazon did not carry, so I ordered elsewhere. It has done me well(so far)

I bought this 4 years ago and have used it to set footing levels, excavate for basements, landscaping, setting rim boards, installing septic lines and fields. It is also great for ensuring proper slope for good drainage. It has worked flawlessly for me, it is simple to set up and use. My kids aged 7 to 11 were able to set it up for me and help me with alot of the jobs using this. It definately saved me alot of time and money. The batteries also last a suprisingly long time. Only complaint I had was the reciever was too loud, even at lowest level but a small piece of masking tape over the speaker and it was just right.

Complete GARBAGE!!!!!

I purchased this laser brand new and when it arrived from Amazon it was not functioning properly.

When turned on, it would do its self-diagnostic and leveling. The head would begin rotating but no laser would emit from the head. I needed it for a current job to be started and could not wait to return and replace so I spoke to an Amazon representative. I was to recieve a return postage for the current one, but had to order another to have it in time.

I purchased a second one that worked on site for approximately 45 minutes. At this time the head quit rotating and the unit would no longer work. Needless to say I was already on the job and working. I spoke to another Amazon Representative and they said I would recieve a return postage card, but have not recieved a postage slip for either laser.

I currently have two lasers to return that are as useful as two $900 paperweights.
