5.0 out of 5 stars The best anatomy and pathology book for CT I've ever seen., February 24, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: CT Teaching Manual (Paperback)
There is no better book on the market for cross sectional anatomy. The book uses normal anatomy vs. pathology examples for every body part and major condition that would be visualized with CT imaging. Easy to read, high quality pictures are taken from real Siemens images and put alongside illustrations that label the anatomy.

This book also gives outstanding guidelines for interpreting images. This would make it perfect for radiology or surgery residents.

This book has impressed everyone in my department. Docs and techs alike been impressed by it. Its affordable, not too big and packed with great images.

If you need a cross sectional anatomy text for CT Applications, look no further. Buy this book!!!

This review is from: CT Teaching Manual (Paperback)
I found this by accident and anybody who is cross-trained into CT and wants to sit for the ARRT registry in CT should have this book. Learned more than any other book I have bought. I have spend over $600 on other recommended books and this is best by far

4.0 out of 5 stars Very good!, May 30, 2000
This review is from: CT Teaching Manual (Paperback)
I have read Hofer's Ultrasound Teaching Manual, and the CT Teaching Manual is just as good. Easy to read, many nice pictures, helpful facts and not too expensive. Helpful if you read this with the Webb/Brant/Helms CT book.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very Useful Book, May 8, 2009

This review is from: CT Teaching Manual (Paperback)
As I plan to take my CT boards, I find this book is very helpful because it is only CT images. My other anatomy books combine both CT and MR images.
It shows normal anatomy and pathology.
This book was recommended by my CT instructor. I would highly recommend it. Co-workers think it's a great CT anatomy book too.

I'm an X-ray Technologist studying for the CT state boards, This book has tons of useful information and just great up-to-date pictures that covers anatomy and pathology. I would however recommend on buying/borrowing a book that covers more on the principles and fundamentals of CT for beginners, due to the lack of explanations and some details on important/complex topics. I would also like to add that this should not be confused to be a pocket atlas...lol, This book is help you understand what your looking at IN GREAT DETAIL about cross-sectional images, kinda like as if you were the Radiologist (X-ray Physician).

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing value for your money, April 14, 2009
This review is from: CT Teaching Manual (Paperback)
Without any doubt this is the best CT Teaching Manual.

Excellent introduction to physical and technical fundamentals of CT, it outlines the basic rules for reading CT examinations, administration of contrast agents, CT angiography and Radiation protection.

It has more than 500 excellent pictures comparing anatomy vs pathology for all body sites. Has front and back cover folding pages with keys to all anatomical structures.

I happened to find this book by chance - now it has become the standard reference book in my department. Five of my colleagues bought it within 3 months of my purchase. And most importantly it is easy on the wallet.

This is the best book that I have found when dealing with cross sectional anatomy and CT. The images are realistic and really do help when you are trying to identify them on the actual CT images. This book really does help and it also gives you some insite to scanning. Would absolutley recommend this book!!!

Of all the books about Computed Tomography, this one is the best. It is filled with great info on every page. If you are learning to scan, reviewing for the CT registry, or wanting to learn how to read the exam from a RA or radiologist point of view, then this book is for you.

This is by far one of the best books for CT I have ever seen. It gives a very good and concise general overview of CT with info on contrast agents, scanner protocols by slice, and a lot of images detailing normal pathology. The images in this book are laid out so that images are are grouped together on one page showing the same anatomy ranging from normal anatomy to common pathological conditions. They also have a CT slice of anatomy with a drawn picture to the side to better illustrate the anatomy of the slice. This book is worth every penny.
