Good, but not perfection,

A great little digital TV with a crisp, clear picture. Perfect for traveling or in case of a power failure. The remote is almost too small to be useful, and I was a bit disappointed with the battery life when fully charged (about 1.5 hr.). All-in-all ... the best presently on the market.

Pros: The picture is sharp and clear. Stand has handy cradle to carry remote. Multiple interfaces.
Cons: Short battery life 1.5 hours max. This TV touts capabilities with MP4 video files. I have tried hundreds of MP4 files with frustratingly limited success. The files are extremely slow to load. The remote is completely unresponsive during this phase. Videos play back in slow motion with no sound. I have searched for recommended bit rate specifications etc. but have found none. The TV functionality is okay but almost every channel displays a "Channel Blocked" screen requiring four zeros to be entered each time. There is nowhere to disable this in the menu. Local stations in my area are 30-40 miles away. This renders the small included antenna virtually worthless unless I drive to the roof of a parking garage or ride the elevator to around 10 floors up somewhere. This is a DTV reception problem which can exist with any DTV. TV audio is clear but volume level is very low even at the highest setting. This model seems like a rush to production more than a well engineered path to high performance. I would not recommend this product to anyone with less than infinite patience.

CTA 7" DTV, cute but unstable,

Pretty. CTA Digital TV-P7 7-Inch Portable LCD TV Bought it as a gift and made a big hit, but pay for that moment daily by going through the laborious procedure of rescanning the stations (with my fingers crossed). The scanner drifts. It can zero in on all stations then lose them a couple minutes later. It can't even be relied on to get back to the last channel viewed. By then, all of the channels may have been lost except a public radio station that shows a picture of the L tracks (Chicago). Instruction book? Forget it! I've used it's antennae, rabbit ears, one of those new antennas, and finally ran a cable from my roof antennae, through the basement, up the kitchen wall to this new TV. As I said, it was a gift. It still drifts! I bought this just before the digital changeover in order to be prepared. So I've had it almost two months. If I knew how to get a refund, this thing would be on its way back tomorrow. Other TVs in my house, with converter boxes, and each with a different kind of antennae work fine. Why 2 stars instead of none? When it works, it's beautiful.

The antenna that comes with this TV is pretty much useless to me. I live 20-30 miles from TV transmitters. When connected to a good antenna, the TV works great. Very clear picture and adequate sound. I have no trouble playing AVI format videos from either a memory card or a flash drive. I have played full length movies and they work great as long as they are not longer than 1.5 hours at which point the battery quits. MP3 files play with no problem, but sound tinny through the built-in speakers. The TV will not play WMA, or OGG music files. Picture files display just fine.
The instruction booklet is very poor. It takes a lot of fiddling around to figure out how things really work as opposed to what the instructions say works, or in many cases does not mention at all. I still have not figured out what the Zoom button on the remote does. I also have not been able to find out if it is OK to play the TV when the charger is connected. I bought this item to use in the case of power failure in a hurricane (I live in Florida). No car charger comes with this TV and I have not been able to find out if one is available. This TV would be useless to me if I cannot find a way to charge the TV from a car battery without resorting to an inverter. So, this is a fine little TV if you are close to the TV stations or you have a good antenna. You will be able to play videos on memory cards or flash drives. Battery life is a problem you will have to consider if you want to use the TV for more than 1.5 hours between charges.

Returned,

I returned this TV for a few reasons. It was difficult to set up and the directions weren't as explanatory as they could be. I think someone may have returned this same item before as part of the setup was already done. Maybe they couldn't get any further either. The remote didn't work either and you needed it to finish the setup. I also couldn't get any reception so we were never able to actually watch it. The reception may have been because of our area, or it could have been that it was incorrectly setup, or a combination of both. In any case, after many many attempts to get it to work we decided not to keep it. We purchased another TV from Radio Shack that was slightly higher in price but it works like a charm.

This is the best thing ever. You can put on any channel and you can take it all around. You really should get it.

This product is great for the function and the price. I use it when I want to watch the game away from the living room. It's also great for when the power goes out -- living where there are a lot of storms and power outages. For the price I paid, this TV does exactly what I need it to! It was a great purchase, and I highly recommend it!

This is a perfect little TV that gets the job done. It is not as good as quality as my 50" Samsung but I paid $2k for that and this is just over $100. Dont expect wonders but it is pretty cool TV. A+ :)
