These guns are a classic example of something being engineered and working on paper, but never being actually tested in real life. On the front of the gun there is a little lip that prevents the controller from being placed in the gun. You have to take a pair of pliers to remove the lip (voiding the warranty) to allow the controller to slip into the slop. Once removed, you have to pray the expansion link in the back of the gun lines up properly or else you fight to insert it. Lastly, the trigger needs to be oiled before the response is appropriate for quick play. Once these things are accounted for the gun works pretty well.

Although you do not need these to play games that involve shooting techniques, they definitely make them more fun. Remote fits right in with keeping the strap on-just hook the strap in the groove on the end. Easy access to add the nunchuk as needed. Very happy!

The guns didn't fit my controllers right, they were cheaply made and not worth the price I paid at all. They scratched my Wii controllers when putting them into the gun, and controllers were difficult to remove from the gun as well.

We received the CTA WI-GCS Magnum Gun Combo on 12-18-2010. Packaged nice by Amazon.com and Guns are hard blister packed. After opening the blister packaged I tried to fit our Wii controller into the gun with no luck. No matter how I tried to make them fit they did not. I tried all of our remotes on BOTH guns with the same end result. CTA needs to shave the front lip on the barrel down so you can slide the gun back into the connection. This front lip stops you from being able to level the controller enough to match the connections between the Wii control and the Magnum Gun. Hate to say it but I ended up asking Amazon.com for a refund. Hope they fix this problem because from what I could see these are some very nice guns!

Gun works as advertised. Minor issues are two:

1)I could only insert the wimote by removing the orange sliding cover at the gun point. Sliding it still deosn't allow enough room for the wimote to slide. You have to remove the orange slider which is a minor gripe for adults but a kid (or careless adult) can break the plastic part.

2)Trigger needs to be fully pressed to "shoot". My kid (he's 11) though the gun didn't work. When I tried it it works great but you have to fully pull the trigger. Nothing to worry about but it will save you some grief.

Other than that my kid and I are having loads of fun with this gun set.

If you like shooting games like house of the dead, cabelas or any other , you will find that these accesories really give you the feel you are looking in a shooting game.
Sturdy and easy to use .
Other accesories are big and not really user friendly.

These guns were not worth it at all. The trigger is used to aim, not shoot, which defeats the whole purpose of sticking the wii mote in something that looks like a gun in the first place. It is also hard to get the mote in and out of it. Used once, threw away.

The overall construction is OK... but the hinge to the rear that houses the nunchuck is very flimsy & broke off almost immediately upon opening!

I enjoy the game, it is a little slow and a little old fashioned but that is ok it was $30. The guns on the other hand are misleading. They are not guns but holders and you can not use the trigger in the safety ring. That was disappointing. Tim

If you use rechargeable battery packs with your Wii remotes(which I gotta believe 99.9% of us do!) then your Wii remote WILL NOT FIT in these guns! Thus they are absolutely WORTHLESS! Needless to say-I quickly returned them! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY on these-spend your dough on the authorized Wii accesories!
