i bought a pair of these 2 years ago because they were cheap. they worked great till i accidently broke them, then i went out and bought a 50 dollar pair of sonys to replace them thinking they would have to sound better than a 12 dollar pair of generic coby's. only i found out the sonys sounded like crap compared to the cobys, luckily i found out i could still buy the cobys i bought 4 pairs on sale for 9 dollars a piece and still came out cheaper than the sonys only now i have good sounding headphones with all the power i need and 3 spares. i highly recommend these to anyone that enjoys good bass and powerful sound.

i aslo agree with the last persons comment on them making them hard of hearing lol these will make your ears ring if you want them to.

I hate Coby products. They are usually really low grade. But I bought these almost 4 years ago and still use them before my sony, maxwells, zeniths etc. It has such a deep bass response and can get extremely loud. I agree with other reviewers that it is good at muffling outside sounds as well. It's worth a try to anyone looking to replace the phones that came with their system. Enjoy!

If you want a pair of fairly inexpensive headphones for a portable CD player, try the CV200. They have high efficiency and fairly good bass. They don't have the high frequency resolution of better phones, but have much better sound than 90 percent of all the headphones that come with CD players. Comfort is OK, and they adjust enough to fit most people. The bonus earphones are not worth much.

I use mine all the time. I ordered them in 2003 and they still work. I'm ordering a 2nd pair before they stop selling them! They are comfortable and the sound quality is good. They muffle outside noises well.

For the price, these can't be beat. They are fairly comfortable, although after about an hour my ears got a little sweaty. The sound is great, and they cancel the noise of the bus I ride adequately to allow me to actually hear the radio. The earbuds are cheap and pretty much a throw away. They are ackward and less value than the buds that came with my mp3 player.

The sound is quite good on the headphones with decent bass. If you are looking for a usable, and inexpensive set of headphones this is it.

I just want to say that for less than $10, these are some amazing headphones. The bass is great and plus they come with a free pair of earbuds. You ain't gonna get a better deal than this. Especially if you're used to those annoying ipod earbuds you will enjoy the fact that these are not uncomfortable and the sound is just so much better.

I inherited an old pair of these, and I loved them very much and played very hard with them. Finally they got a short and I stepped on them by accident.. so it was a search to find another pair! I can't believe I found them either. For $11 you cannot go wrong, especially if you like to listen to Cd players or you DJ, the quality is unbeatable. However if you do leave them on for a long period of time (3-5 hours) your ears might get sweaty, and they might get pinched, but I will admit that's a bit excessive. Overall, awesome!!!

okay the headphones are great, people say they last awile but they only lasted me up to half a year before i had to cut them open and fix electrical break "on 2 different pairs i've owned" but hey for [...] it was worth it pricewise.

also on the part where they have good base, they really do, after my pair broke i got a [...] pair of noise cancelling and they sounded like they had good base it low volumes, but it was purely emulated, turn the volume up and it sounded very distorted and bad, the coby's sound GREAT turned up, i put a 4watt amp(coby's are only rated max 2watt) on my coby's all the way up and they didn't distort at all, they where still crisp, and they where vibrating from the TRUE bass that was comming out :)

To start, I actually don't see why so many people don't like the earphones. Of course their nowhere near as good as the headphones, yet still I was surprised on the bad reviews after i experenced it. The bass could improve, yet their still very good earphones. Which leaves me to wonder why people hated them.

Now comes the real reason we bought this in the first place. The headphones are clearly incredible, even on the first try. If you say they don't block at least some sound off, either their defected, or your ears are. The bass is amazing and the headphones itself are really comfortable. Your ears may get sweaty, yet I haven't experienced this yet.

Overall, this is a really great deal. The best part is it's under $10! (note: sadly, you have to add shipping) :(

Really great headphones,I bought them to go with my Coby portable dvd player and Ipod.The bass they produce is awesome.The smaller headphones that come with it are okay,but the big headphones are GREAT!
