4.0 out of 5 stars Damngood and free too! September 5, 2013
Format:MP3 Music|Verified Purchase
Saw these guys open for Baroness and I was quite impressed. This thing was free and I like it. Need to pick up the full length record next. Like Janis Joplin fronting Sabbath or a darker Zep.

5.0 out of 5 stars CVI:A June 27, 2013
Format:MP3 Music
So stoked that RT decided to do an acoustic EP, even more stoked that it's free. Miny Parsonz's voice sounds awesome no matter what she's singing. These songs are just as amazing unplugged as they are on CVI. Can't wait to see them on tour this summer \m/

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic June 27, 2013

Breathtaking. This EP shows just how well-rounded this band is. The vocals are elegant and yet simultaneously gritty and emotional. The guitar maintains a haunting twang that forces you to absorb each powerful note. It's also free. Why wouldn't you download it?

4.0 out of 5 stars Acoustic jams September 30, 2013
Format:MP3 Music|Verified Purchase
Royal Thunder roll out acoustic versions of some of their tracks from CVI. At times the tracks suffer from the switch where the tone and arrangement has not been redone to accommodate the new sound. At other times the stylistic changes improve the originals. But its free, so even if you want to damn it as a throw off attempt at acoustic arrangements its not like they are asking for your money. Instead view it as a gift from artists willing to try different things. Hopefully this experimentation helps expand their sound on the next album.

Check out the actual CVI album as well. It is amazing. And a live show when you can. So good!

4.0 out of 5 stars Smokey and dark, powerful and sexy. February 28, 2014
Format:MP3 Music|Verified Purchase
These acoustic renditions of the songs from CVI mantain all the power of the originals while making room more mood and dynamics. Also, Melony's vocals in Water Vision Is pristine!

3.0 out of 5 stars Decent because it was free February 11, 2014

Not much else to say, scrolled through the tracks quickly so this isn't a useful review. If you get any music free it's worth a listen right?
