I am becoming an avid runner and am training to run a 1/2 marathon soon. I wanted true compression shorts, other brands are tight and spandex like, but are not compression like I was hoping for. The CW-X shorts are perfect, they hit me about 3 inches above the knee, they are comfortable at the waist, they do NOT ride up or move at all during a run (11 miles!) and they provide excellent support. I feel like my core is really tight and in place, and I like the feeling of everything being held in. I don't like to run in flimsy shorts because I feel like theres too much jiggle. The only reason why I didn't give these 5 stars is because they fit perfectly out of the package, but after a wash they loosened up a tiny bit. They still fit great, but I noticed some of the compression was slightly gone. I'm 5'2" and 118 lb. and I ordered a small, but I could have gone with an extra small. I still love them though and will continue to wear them. Some reviews said they run really small, so since I'm between sizes I went one up. If you are between sizes you can probably get away with sizing down. I love running in these shorts and would highly recommend them. They are true compression shorts, don't even bother with any Nike, Under Armour, or any other mainstream brand that say they are compression, there is no comparison.

I bought Large based on Amazon sizing. Interesting that they say on the site that there is no special sizing and to use theirs. Well funny thing is that the item and its package both carry the sizing for this item, and it is DIFFERENT from Amazon sizing. Once I got the right size, they were perfect. Did a 10 mile run, and felt great afterwards!

So, I searched and scoured the Net looking for compression running shorts and I thought I'd hit the jack pot with these. They were on sale and so, I took a chance. I run approx 30+ miles a week. I am a female at 5ft5 and weigh 125lbs. I am also currently training for a full Marathon in Mid-March so I need gear that is comfortable and will help me with my muscle aches (particularly my glutes and IT Band). These shorts did not work for me. They were not very comfortable and after taking them for a 6 mile test run I experienced chafing on both my belly button area (they are ridiculously high at the waist) and another very sensitive area I will leave unmentioned. These were a big disappointment. I currently run in C9 by Champion Premium Running Capris and/or Moving Comfort shorts and they work far better than these. In fact, I did 18 miles this past Sunday in my Champion Running Capri and did NOT have any issues or discomfort. Unfortunately, I bought into the "compression" aspect of these shorts and wish I hadn't.
